Hi everyone!
I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.
I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?
Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years
Jen
I logged on last night, paid, and started to upload. I don't have a document under HIPPA. Any idea where we get that one?
I was looking for that one too. I registered under the Montgomery campus and was figuring that maybe if I had done the NH campus, it would be there. Is there anyone who registered under NH that can confirm this?
kevann, is book list same as Montgomery's?I just figured out that we need to get access code( nursing skills online Version 3.0) but its not released until 7/15! Our Summer class will begin before that
Yeah, I noticed that too this week and sent an email to the lead nursing professor asking how she wanted us to proceed. You may have already done this, but if not then I will either let you know, and/or I assume an email will be sent out.
This may have been discussed already on here and I misread it, but the book is the physical textbook while the other, the "online", is for us to register through Elsevier/Evolve to take the online portion of the Summer class, such as quizzes, exams, online resources, etc.. You'll use the same log-in information that you used to access your HESI exam results, and join a class essentially. My pharmacology class was set-up this way. I think they're trying to move away from ANGEL because they're getting rid of it next year at some point.

Okay. I am thinking that I will wait to buy the access code cuz my summer course is since 7/31, so I will be fine. Another thing I'm thinking about is whether I'll buy ebook or not... Ebook is cheaper and convenient which im always with my iPad. Concern is the e reader. The reviews are pretty bad lol I'm now using kindle for my government class and i love it... What do u all think about it? Elsevier one is vital source bookshelf.
Everything needs to be uploaded to Certified background no later than Thursday, July 18th at 4pm. They emphasized not waiting till the last minute to get this done as they will have "no sympathy" to people struggling last minute. Also, they told us we would be notified over the next couple of weeks about registration for summer and fall courses. They said to be prepared to pay for the summer course on the day you register and payment for fall classes are due by August 16th at 4:30pm.
Thank you for the info guys! I was starting to panic just...a...little. lol. Glad you called the nursing department nsummer. I wonder why the difference in cost of the books between MOCO and NH?

Kevann00 priced all the books from MC at 480$ (I think that was used, but not sure), and for NH I paid roughly somewhere between 900$ and 1200$...HUGE price difference.

Yea, for MOCO books were about $480 missing the pediatrics book vol.1 and vol.2 that wasnt available. I priced out the NH books last night on amazon and it was almost $900 with the rec books too!!!!!!!! Ugh, moving on up on the alternate list for MOCO..fingers are crossed so tighly they are starting to turn purple lol :)
