Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

How many pairs of scrubs are you all getting? I am thinking two, just to have one as a backup since it will probably get soiled at some point during clinical.

I got free uniform from orientation and will buy 1 more for sure. Do we have to wear scrubs in 1523 lab also?

I think they said you could wear any kind of scrubs to lab but required the teal and white for clinical.

Yes, Scrubs for lab- can be any color!

I heard back from ***************regarding the publishing date on Version 3.0 of the online skill, and she said that she was going to check it out and get back with us about which version to buy.

I used to live in the champions area and absolutely loved it! I lived there alone and always felt safe.

OH, nice! We went a looked around and found a couple of places we liked. One was in the willowbrook area. We visited Yeager elementary, the school our son would have to attend if we chose to live in Willowbrook, and loved it. Their tests scores, according to greatschools.org, are great. So we are leaning towards Willowbrook.

Did you get the email today saying to purchase Version 2.0 and the publisher will upgrade us to Version 3.0 in the fall at no charge?

Yes I got the same email.. I'm waiting till the end of the week to purchase books they said financial aid should kick in by the 23rd.. Would be awesome not to have to pay for books!

Yes, same one. I will go to the bookstore at school and will check if the 2.0 is available or not.
