Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

I spoke with ******** today and she told me the same thing, I think they're still trying to finalize an insurance agreement with BCBS. Let me know if you hear anything. I'm waiting on that same email too!

Will do Jess, but I think that she will get in touch with us, as she's been keeping me updated without me emailing or calling her.

and thanks brilaneb for the young compliment! Here I am at 24 worried I would be the oldest in class!

No problem Heather! I had the same feeling and I am 9 years your elder. ;)

Whoever is going to North Harris orientation, I will see you there.

Good luck to everyone at the NH orientation today. (I'll be going to the June 5th one). Let us know how it goes.

Reading some of the post, it is weird how different the process is for the other campuses. At kingwood, we had to get all of the paperwork done before you were 100% in and only then did you get signed up by the nursing department for your classes. :wideyed:

Question for those of you allready in the Nursing program; when you do the weekly computerized testing, can you do that at any testing center or does it have to be at the same campus?

Specializes in PICU.

I can't wait for orientation. I too will be going to the June 5th orientation since I'm in a minimester right now and have class at almost the same time. I'm thinking of doing clinicals at St. Luke's since it's closest.

Hey! I actually went to the lonestar website and searched the same course numbers montgomery offers and all the classes come up! It wont let you register but you can add them to your cart that way when its time to register, its already done!! But..i will absolutely be texting/sending info your way!

Thank you, and thanks for the info!

Hi everyone. Another relocation question. We are going to be checking out places in the Champions neighborhood and Kleinbrook. Does anyone know how "quiet" and "safe" these areas are?

I used to live in the champions area and absolutely loved it! I lived there alone and always felt safe.

Oh yikes, I think I'm the oldest one on here! Haha yall will have to help grandma out lol! Summer, ill see you at the 5th orientation!

Have any of the alternates for MC, but accepted at NH heard from MC yet? I have checked enrollment for the nursing classes at MC for both summer and fall, and there are sections still open, which means that either there are students hoping to get into a first choice, people haven't registered yet, or not sure if they're going to attend MC RN program. At any rate, my point is that I was hoping some of you would have heard something by now.

Lastly, for those of you who were accepted at NH, last year we were told to email a specific advisor with our first, second, third, etc. options on everything including the summer session, but know that it wasn't guaranteed you'd get the schedule you wanted.

I was just looking at that now but I'm a little confused! Do we need to get coverage for the summer as well or wait and get the fall coverage when it becomes available!? Because there is no info yet for Fall!? And i called the lady from the insurance agency and she said the Fall insurance doesn't become available till later in the summer and its start date is Aug 20! So is that cutting it too close to the start date?

I was told this morning that I am number 2 on the alternate list so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I am thinking as more people get accepted to other programs, we will see a lot more alternates picked up.

Oh yeah! I just got my blue card in the mail!
