Lonestar 2011 ADN Hopefuls

I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?

well, despite being close to campus, wouldn't the acceptance letters still have to go through the sorting facility before being sent to our residences? it could possibly take up to a week :/ i'm sure they're on their way! :up:

i know the aggravation, especially when i was waiting for admission correspondence from uthsch. when i finally received the letter, i was beyond joyful until i realized that the envelope was peculiarly small and eventually became crushed upon examination of its contents. :down:

don't let the waiting game beat you. lol.

Well I'm in the same boat as all of the other Cy-Fair applicants... still no letter today! My mother-in-law that worked for the post office for 20 years or more said that there is no way that they sent them Tuesday! She said if something is mailed from a Houston address to a Houston address it should be there next day, 2 days at the most! Well I will keep my fingers crossed for all of us that they are in the mail tomorrow! :rolleyes:

Cyfair personel stink. How come you can't give an answer as to cut off scores or tell me yay or nay. I live 5 miles from campus as well with no dang letter either. I think they send them out to a 3rd party company in India to mail out. I called Tomball (my 2nd choice) and left a message maybe I can get further with them tomorrow then Cyfair.

She's right. My parents and in laws live 100 miles away and many, many times I have gotten birthday cards etc. the day after or 2 days after being mailed and vice versa. They're definitely full of BS when they say they went out on Tuesday:no:

So have anyone take the CPR class yet? I'm planning to go get the criminal background check next week. Will the fingerprint be included or do I have to pay separately. Someone posted that the CPR class is $25? I want to go to the Conroe one for $40 but it's kind of far.

For cyfair people who are waiting on letters.....the mail is sloooowwww. Last semester the letters wer mailed on Sept 24. The first person did not get her letter untill 28th. Most of us, not until 29th or later. Just because they say they were mailed, does not mean they got to the post office...it means they left the nursing dept.

That's correct! My 'No' letter didn't arrive till like Oct 4rth last semester from Cyfair.

so do they send out rejection letters after the acceptance letters??

I will suggest that both of you got to the nursing dept at NH. I applied to NH as my first choice with an 11.64 and I never got a letter so I called them and they told me I was accepted and she said she was going to mail another letter, but I refused and told her that I will drive up there to pick up the letter. I just picked up my letter today so I suggest you both do the same.

Thanks when I called yesterday she told me I was definetly in and to come get my letter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yeah::yeah::yeah:

OMG I got it today woooooohooooo!!!!!!! I'm in at cyfair with a 11.5664. Everyone the cyfair letters are finally here. I read everything and didn't see where to get the drug test. Does anybody know how to take care of it
