  1. 12 is almost impossible. I got into cy-fair with 11.6. North harris is easier to get into but I think their cut-off was around 11.4 but you should really ask them to be sure, the nursing advisor is really nice and helpful. If you're worried about your score than put north harris as your first choice, the other campuses are harder to get into because of the smaller size.
  2. go to the north harris library or bookstore and ask for the hesi review book... I can't remember what the name was but it is the one they have in the library (usually checked out). But get the name of it and buy it at the bookstore or amazon then you're good to go..... and fyi don't freak out about the hesi, it's not bad at all...the hardest thing about getting in is the classes you're required to get an A in and the amount of pre-req classes you finish.
  3. thanx for the quick reply.. i'm in the cy-fair program. from what i read it says the series must be done before entering clinicals. do you know when clinicals start? i can't find anything on them
  4. I won't be able to get my second hep b shot by the deadline listed because of the two month waiting period. I got all the other vaccinations done including TB test. Do you think it will be a problem if I only have the first hep b shot done by the deadline?
  5. Got my letter from Cy-Fair and I'm in !!!!
  6. so do they send out rejection letters after the acceptance letters??
  7. and nothing again!!!!!
  8. Exactly!! Something doesn't add up..I've never have had local mail take this long... and wednesday i called them and they said they mailed the letters tuesday... i called yesterday to say i didn't get anything and another lady said they were mailed monday and it sometimes takes to long. I think they mailed them late and don't want to admit fault.
  9. this getting stupid now!!! My face has been in front of my glass door so long waiting for the mailman that the kids think I'm some kind of window ornament
  10. yeah it sucks waiting....i hear everyone getting their letters and I'm sitting here with the typical butterflies in the stomach syndrome. By the way do you know what the cut-off score is. a lot of people are saying that they had to lower them because people weren't getting the minimum on the hesi.
  11. Hey guys, I'm kind of confused on one thing from the application. I applied to cy-fair for my first choice, NH second, and Tomball third. So far I haven't got a letter yet because cy-fair mailed them out late or the post office is just lazy. But i'm hearing different things so I want to get some clarification 1. Let's just say you get in to cy-fair as your first choice does that mean you won't be able to go to your second or third choice. 2. If you're selected to a particular campus will you not recieve letters from the other campuses. One person told me that if you're accepted to let's just say Cy-fair, you won't get an acceptance letter to North Harris... is that true? Please someone clarify this for me.... ps: my score was 11.56 and passed all sections of HESI with 80's and 90's
  12. hey guys, I'm just wondering how long is the program once your in.. I finished all my pre-reqs, and hesi and have a total score of 11.567. I'm just wondering if you finish all your pre-reqs it doesn't look like that many classes left on the schedual. Any clues?
