Lonestar 2011 ADN Hopefuls

U.S.A. Texas

I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?

Good luck to all applying:)

Borrow A&P For Dummies from the Harris County Public Library. It is extremely helpful.

What was mostly on that portion? And what did you study for 3 days?

Ya thats what I was planning on doing. Gosh I just hear that its very difficult and the study guide does not help and thats what I am studying.

You are right, the evolve study guide is not sufficient. Its hard to remeber exactly what was on that portion. I took the test a couple of times and each time, I had different questions. It would be a good idea to just review the entire book. There are only 30 questions on that section.

I just skimmed through the stuff that I forgot or didn't have a chance to look over during the semester. if you think you're not good at AP then look over it for like a week instead if you have time before the Hesi.

Thats what I will do then. Tomorrow I will go get the A&P for Dummies and try to study that too. Thanks!

Congrats!! That's a great score:)

im taking my HESI at lonestar cyfair next week. can you send me the review for the HESI?? it would be greatly appriciated! thank you

You will be fine. I am starting the nursing program at Cy-Fair in Jan. I too, was scared out of my mind when I turned in my application. I took my HESI twice but only applied once when I knew for sure I would get in, I got an 11.80 and was amazed at how well the blue & yellow book help and all my notes from A&P 1&2 and Micro helped. Relax, you'll do fine :) Good luck!

Hi. If you are taking the Hesi in montgomery, you will need to make an appointment.. right?

Where did you make the appointment?

i'll appreciate the help :)
