I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?
Good luck to all applying:)
I was on the alternative list at Montgomery and was number 10 on the list and the counselor said my chances were very slim to getting accepted but i received an acceptance letter from North Harris instead so now I am attending that campus there. I just now found this website and figured out how to use it so i figured Id try and find others who were attending that campus since I didn't recognize anyone during orientation.

Hi namyers and congratulations :yeah:

There is also a facebook group page that some of us from this thread started that will also be attending the NH program. Got to facebook and search for "Lonestar ADN 2013"and that's us! Hope to see you there.
Karron Guerra:)
To answer you question about the immunizations, she is not picky the hospitals are picky. So to protect us from getting or spreading any diseases she does seem picky. But think about it, we are going to be walking in to a hospital with not only surgical patients but a lot of sick people. When we walk in we do not know if what they have is contagious or not, so our first line of defense is our immunizations. I personnally to not want to catch anything or bring home anything to my family that I could have prevented by vaccinations. You have to remember in orientation she stated that if we have everything documented on the sheet we could use it when we get a job. I, for one am thankful for someone looking out for me and my families well being.
