Lonestar 2011 ADN Hopefuls

I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?

No I haven't received letters from any of the other campuses. But at the same time I knew the only possible shot I had was at NH. I did hear that they send out all acceptance letters first and then send out denial letters afterwards. You can call the campus and find out though. You just call Kristina, the lady you turned your application in to.

FINALLY! I got my letter today! I'm in at Cy-Fair! Yay! So excited! Congrats to everyone else that's in as well! We should set up a facebook page for cy fair. I think that would be alot of help once classes start. So we have to get the background check/finger prints, show proof of shots, show proof of CPR, show proof of insurance, and get a physical? Am I missing anything other than all the other paperwork? I want to make sure I am on top of everything... I have been waiting too long for this to get thrown out for not completing something simple. Holy crap... I can't believe this is really happening! I'm so pumped up :w00t:

Does anyone know of the facility that offers $25 shots? I read that in an earlier post I think and it may be in the Humble area. Please help! Is that $25 per shot or just one cost?

Yay, I got my acceptance letter yesterday for Cy-fair! I'm so happy:) I was an alternate last semester, so this is even sweeter!

So have anyone take the CPR class yet? I'm planning to go get the criminal background check next week. Will the fingerprint be included or do I have to pay separately. Someone posted that the CPR class is $25? I want to go to the Conroe one for $40 but it's kind of far.

The fingerprinting and background check are combined. I did the CPR through red cross online as a hybrid class. I liked it since the written part was online and I only had to do the hands on portion in person. You can even call red cross and they'll tell you which location is closest to you. It takes a lot less time too:)

But sanjac won't accept my hesi scores from lonestar even if I have official test transcripts sent by elsevier.

Last year San Jac told me they'd take my Lone Star HESI scores if I'd submit an official transcript from Elsevier. Are you sure you talked to the right person? Have you asked the overall program director?

No, I didn't talk to the director. I talked to a couple of other women in the office. They were the ones who took my application. The director wasn't there. I'll definitely call tomorrow morning though.

Congrats to you as well! I'm going to try to set up the FB page and will let you know once I get it done! I have a friend in the program now and she said the FB page is very helpful!
