Lonestar 2011 ADN Hopefuls

Published

I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?

Good luck to all applying:)

Hi! Ive never posted on here before but I got accepted into the program at cyfair! :yeah: I definitely would like to join the facebook group but I cant find it?

Just send me a private message with your name and I will search for you. I have to add you as a friend then I can add you to the group!:D Or you can search for me and request me as a friend. My screen name is my first and middle initial with my last name. I think you could find me that way.

I found the page under cy fair nursing class of 2013. Cy fair had to have a space and not a dash. Then the page shows the administrator. Click her and add her with a personal message so she knows your in the class and not some random person

Try this link for the lonestar cyfair fb page. if it works then ask to be the administrators friend

fifteen bucks for all of the shot you get at any one visit:)

Is this cost based upon income?

Anyone on the 290 area.. I went to the Neighborhood Health Clininc off 34th & 290. All shots & titers are about 20-25 which is a good price from where I've looked. They also accept those w/o insurance & your results come back within 2 days.

I know it's still super early but has any alternative been called for an available spot?

Idk if any alternatives have been called. I'm sure if you call the nursing dept, they'll tell you. I want to know how many alternatives were let in in previous years.

Does anyone know their rank on the alternate list?

Specializes in Progressive Care.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone found a place to do their physical at a reasonable cost? I read through old threads and saw that someone did their physical at a chiropractor's office for an inexpensive amount, but I think Lonestar changed their paperwork since then! Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. :)

Tinamari- I need to find a place too. My insurance required me to have a physical in order to get the hepatitis b shot and they only approve one physical a year. So if I have to take that form to get signed I'll have to come out of pocket from my pcp.

Does anyone know their rank on the alternate list?

It's by points.
