Lone Star Kingwood 2010

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to start a new thread for kingwood/cyfair applicants. This is the moment I have been waiting for for 2 years! :nurse: I will be turning in my application when I return from vacation next week. My score is at 11.489 as of yesterday! I took the Hesi....again....yesterday :D and will be going on vacation Mon. I don't think my score has gone in yet either.

Anyway...I'm hoping that my score will be good enough for this time around. What was everyone elses score? I think the cut off the last couple years has been 11.4.

I have created this thread because I know that this site has been extremely helpful for me! And I want to return the favor for whoever else is applying or working towards applying! Also, in order for us to chat or whatever else while we are waiting soooo long for a letter! :banghead:

If ANYONE has any questions...just ask and I will try the best of my ability to answer it. I know quite a bit about this program, so I'm sure I can help in some way! :heartbeat

I think snail mail is just alot slower than we remember it being. My friend had your score at Kingwood and they told her that her score was one of the highest in their application pool. So you are probably fine eeeira. But I'm at work so I'm having my mom stalk the mailman :) I feel your pain!

congratulations to all of you who have gotten your acceptance letters! way to go!! i was wondering if anyone happened to know what the cutoff score was this past app period for kingwood and cyfair? i, too, applied for both campuses and have not received any news yet, neither good or bad. i am sensing that because some people have already gotten their acceptance letters that i will be one of those that receives the "i am sorry to inform you letter..." but i am not sure. i am wanting to know something now, whether it is good or

bad!! has anyone gotten a not so good news letter yet?

yes, thats why i was trying to get a little list going from those that made it it. it would be nice if we can see the scores all in one post. it would be a big help for those that did not make it in so we know what to do/plan to do to get in.

HELLO LADIES!

I GOT IN, I GOT IN, I GOT IN!!!! I cannot say it enough I am soooo excited! I got into cy-fair that was my first choice with a score of 11.489 so those of you higher surely know you got in also... it's just sitting in the mail!

It says all hep B vaccines need to be done by nov. 15th.... I just now got my second dose and don't think I will have the third by then, but I will definitely have it by start of class... wonder if they'll make an exception?

Did anyone notice that Cyfairs orientation says Wednesday, December 3 but the 3rd is a Thursday? Probably important to know. Congrats to everyone!

can some1 tell me when is Kingwood orientation? I have NOV 11th and 19th. it's mandatory for me and I'm an alternate

Woohoo got my letter....I'M IN...I'M IN...YAY. I am soooooo happy at this moment.

About the Hep B shots, I talked to a woman in the office at Cyfair and she told me they want most people finished by that date, but I told her I can not get my 3rd dose until December 27th and she said no problem. Just to have the shots completed by first day of class.

Congrats to everyone for all the hard work and finally making it! We did it!!!! :yeah::yeah::yeah::loveya:

can some1 pls respond...let us know if u got in or not. If not don't give up and don't lose hope. If u believe in God remember that anything is possible, they may be calling us soon...There are people that will fail their background checks and/ or drug tests. Also accepted students may decide to go to another college or may not be able to afford tuition or living expenses. Some may even have a change of heart in career...Remember anything is possible. We must stay focus. What God has for me I know it's for me. Have Faith and continue to be patient.

I understand your intentions in expressing that what God has for you is for you and that a person should not give up on their dream even if they have not gotten in the program....as of yet. My issue with your comment is, even if a person is dealing with personal issues rather it being past background issues, finacial or a change of heart in regards to being a nurse. I would hope that everyone that applied and has been accepted that whatever issues may arise that it will get worked out where that person can start this program that they have put in hard work just to get to this point for the Spring 2010 term. You are an alternate, I believe you will get in even with the other applicants outside personal issues. Everyone has issues, but the issues will not overcome a persons drive for success.
