Live Chat Schedule - feedback needed

Another topic could be a general "The Mod Room" where members could chat with moderators about how to use the posting board, TOS, etc. Also, a good way to get to know your mods better. We are really nice people.

I like the support chat line too.

Due to our being busy nurses with very goofy schedules, I suggest set times to meet. The problem we all have is What Time Zone! I suggest:

Central Time Zone.

Days: 9am-11pm and 1pm-3pm

Eve: 5pm-7pm and 9pm-11am

Night: 1am-3am and 5am-7am

A schedule like this could be easy for folks who work either straight 8 or 12 hour shifts. Since it is Central time zone, all one needs to do is add up or subtract down an hour depending where one lives in the USA. I live in Eastern Time...so Evening shift in the chat would be adjusted to 6pm-8pm and 10pm-12am. An idea at least.

A suggestion is that each session should occur three times to accommendate the various time zones. This would give people choices of attending the sessions and it would meet everyone's time zone. In addition, one weekend day and one weekend night should be taken into consideration as well. For instance, saturday during the day and sunday night ......Saturday could have a topic that will bring in a lot of people....a round table meeting as I call it. Sunday night can be a game night for a relaxation activity prior to the work week and a review of homework for the nursing students.

There are numerous of rooms that can be use spontaneous. Always leave one room available for those who would not like to participate or those who already participated and they can have an open chat. Then all of the rooms will be used during a specific time and it will beneficial for the site and the participants.

I would not mind to assist in developing the schedule and to participate in the homewrok review for the nursing students. Hey, KIM work with me in the homework sessions. I would do every night and for those who would like to one-on-one than we can make arangements. I feel this is a strong need at this point for those nursing students who are seeking help. In addition, the students will have to relay their status as a student (first or second year), the expectations of the teacher and their assignment. Therefore, this will give the students assistance throughout the week.

The one room is utilize very much, RJ. It may not be 24 hours and fully packed each time upon your arrival. I do not know that we are in their having numerous of conversations at oone time and sometimes it is heck-it. However, everyone is taking advantage of the chat room and the topics/particpants are very interesting as well. We were just in the room the other night an sharing jokes with each other. We all are having a great time as we learn about eachother and various topics. Therefore, everyone should pop in and have a great time as we did.

There are people that I have mixed feelings why they are on the site and in the room. There are two individuals that have fetishes and not being appropriate in the room. The is not a chat room as it is on your server to pursue your personal needs or to fullfill your need that is occurring at that time. Hmm, did I say that correctly? I do not want to be blunt....heck why not.....this is not a sex chat room or a pick up for the evening room. If you need to satisfy your needs there are plenty of rooms on your server that you can participate in. This not a chat room to be used as a negative experience. I believe the chat room is provided for educational, learning, socializing with the members on the site, to bring awareness of the various cultures and countries on this site and the different types of practices in the medical arena. Therefore, those who feel the need to express their desires in a manner that is not appropriate-Please search other chat rooms on your server to meet your needs. Thank you.

I would like to make a public apology to a student that we were trying to assist the other night. We are deeply sorry about the direction of the session. We tried to help a student and we thought this student was on a higher level (like a third year student) and we were teaching above his level. We did not realize his frustrations till he relayed that he was a first year student. It is very important to relay your status in nursing school and adjustment will be made to help on that level. Therefore, we do not want to assist above the learning you have not receive in class or cause any emotional turmoil within the student or us.

By the way, I can assist with your assignment and I am not going to do the whole assignment for you. It is your responsibilty to get through nursing school and to meet the requirements for the certification to become a nurse. I have my nursing license as everyone else does that are trying to assist the students. I will assist the students as much as possible in the assignment. Just I do not want to start and finish the assignment for you because you will not understand or learn about the topic your assignment is addressing at that time.

I had a lot of fun, it was hilarious and great to meet the posters here in real time without edited statements. People were really friendly and I got a great feel for who everyone is.

How about scheduling "shifts" eg: 7a-10a ,2p-5p, etc. 3 hour windows all around the clock that someone would be in the lobby to direct?

Hello,

To address time zones- east Coast, West Coast, Pacific, Central and Did I leave one out? I guess that is what everyone is speaking about the time zone.

Wow, west is three hours behind east coast, Pacific is two hours behim East coast and Pacific is an hour behind east coast. not sure if I have pacific an central in the right place....Oh well you all know what I was trying to do.

It seem the topics would be starting at different time and to support everyone who would like to attend.

There is a lot of people in there around 7pm Pacific time and last night I went in there at 9pm Pacific time and there were 9 other nuts in there talking and chatting about a lot of different things. There have been times that i have gone in the room and there is nobody there but just wait for a little while and someone will come on. If you keep your sounds on you can go do something else and then when you here someone in the room, you can click on to the chat room.

Almost every time I've gone in there the rooms have been empty. I like live chats, but the AllNurse ones have been a big disappointment.

Maybe a BIG link button at the top of the home page might help?
