Hi y'all, I haven't seen a post on the Linfield 2021 Cohort application so I thought I'd go ahead and create one. I am kind of nervous about this application because I have a little bit of experience (about 3 weeks) working as a caregiver and I have not completed all the prerequisites (I have one Chemistry class in progress which I am taking this Summer term). Here's my stats so far: 4.0 A&P series, 4.0 science lab courses (Microbiology, A&P series, nutrition, Chemistry/biology), no volunteering experience and 2 references from professors. I am kind of scared that I would not get selected about of these reasons... would you guys mind sharing y'all stats also?

Hey guys! I'm also a transfer student waiting for the decision today, so I thought I'd put my stats out there for other applicants to look to later on. I have a cumulative GPA of about 3.7, 4.0 in A&P, and 3.5 in lab sciences. I have some, but not much experience. I had a short internship a couple years back where I shadowed people at a local hospital and before I applied I took a CNA course with the standard 120 hours of clinical and labs. Although I have no paid medical experience. Wow reading your guys' applications made me so nervous. I hope you all get in! Let me know!

I'm keep checking too but nothing yet. 

Those stats are good!! I really hope we all luck out and get in!

me too! so it sounded like you guys all have previous bach degrees? that makes me even more nervous ahhhh

I'm not sure about others on the thread, but I don't have my bachelor's degree yet. However it does seem like everyone is an external transfer and I know this application cycle takes more externals than Fall but still nervous.

Right, that's why I decided to apply for the Spring cohort. Right after I was accepted into Concordia's on ground program which suddenly closed down, forever. Yikes.

a quick question: by the cumulative GPA do you mean the prerequisites GPA? Because I don’t think they look at that... I am nervous as well! I hope we all get in!

I was talking about cumulative, not prerequisite. I'm not even sure what my prerequisite GPA is as I was under the impression they looked at cumulative.

I checked. My prerequisite is 3.67, ouch. I think I'm almost expecting a rejection at this point haha.

I know they look at 3 GPAs: A&P, sciences and lastly the prerequisite (not sure in what order) Don’t get discouraged though, it really all depends on how competitive the other candidates are! I have limited healthcare experience too of about 200+ hours as a med tech so I’m also at a disadvantage in that regard. All we can do is hope for the best! good luck my friend!

Here are my stats: 
-4.0 GPA (pre-req and cumulative) 
-Hospital Volunteer Experience on Mother-Baby unit (120+ hours) 
-Clinical Shadow Experience with Nurse-Midwives (L&D and Women's Health Clinic) 
-In training DONA Doula

There’s no way you won’t get in with these stats!! By the way, have you completed all the prerequisites?
