hi everyone! i'm holli. i took boards on june 13th and passed with 75 questions. i am starting work on july 18th at the only hospital i ever wanted to work for. it is a great pediatric facility! i will be on the (post-op) surgical floor, and we also have all of the endocrine kids. also, they just added an epilepsy monitoring unit, for overnight monitoring and for the brain mapping they are doing. i expressed an interest in that, so they will cross-train me in that unit as well. i can't wait to get started!
so, tell me about you...
holli, rn

Hi everyone!!
My name is Jazmine Carr, and I'm from New Mexico. I graduated in December and started my new job in January. I took my boards on February 2nd and passed after 75 questions. My first day in the MICU was January 25th. I'm enjoying it a lot so far. I'm learning so much every shift! I would eventually like to go into trauma, but I'd also like to experience OR and home health nursing at some point. Nice to meet you all!
Hi, I'm a pediatric homecare nurse....graduated in December 08 and passed my NCLEX in 75 questions 3 and 1/2 wks later! Started my job on February 4th and I work with trach/vented kids and babies. I was a superstar in school but the real world is a heck of a lot tougher! AHH! Someone save me! :)
Hi, I'm Kristen. I graduated in December. I also had a baby in December (3 days before our pinning ceremony!) so I wasn't in a big hurry to take NCLEX and start working. I finally took NCLEX at the end of February and happily I passed! I just accpeted a part time RN position at the LTC facility where I have been working as a CNA for the past two and a half years. It's not my dream job, but I think it will be a good starting point. I start my nursing orientation April 6. Until then I will continue working as a CNA.
I'm Denise, actually graduated and passed boards in 1975 worked as a nurse for 3 years and then retired. Going back into nursing after 33 years, have my state license and now just need to finish up the clinical portion of my refresher course.
So although I'm not a new grad, I'm really close to being one. Yes, I'm terrified too.
I am Debra and I am a soon very very soon to be a new Grad. I take my last final next week and I do my management portion and wait for my sitpass to the NCLEX. I am going into CCU or ICU (cardiac specifically) and I am like Denise previously said in her post I have had a security net (in the school) for 2 yrs now I will be on my own and it is kinda of scarey but I know my school taught be good so I know I will be ok but its still a scarey thought :)
