Oh, for the exercise, of course! :chuckle

I do deep knee bends in and out of my chair between charting and caring for patients.

I jog down the hall to keep the confused patient from falling.

I pull, push, and lift heavy objects/people.

I get to practice my deep-breathing techniques.

My hands certainly get enough fine motor stimulation as I chart, push meds, start IVs, bandage wounds, and Foley patients.

It's so I can hang around all those handsome gentle kind and loving doctors.:chuckle

I became a nurse to pay for my cruise habit...

For the sexy uniforms...and so I can be privy to everyone "bowel habits"...you ever notice that when people find out your a nurse, you find out way more about them then you EVER wanted to know (OFF duty)...

When people in our very busy 52 bed ER ask why things are taking so long, I tell them it is because we are all sitting in the breakroom eating bon-bons and watching Oprah!

Being a male nurse I get to hang out and check out all my female co-workers!

What is the goofy reason or dumb reason why you became a nurse????

My Dad said being a nurse would be a good profession for me. I was totally disinterested but didn't want to work so I went to school to appease him and get my weekly allowance + car and gas paid for. As it turns out Daddy knew best. It's only been 29 years.
