Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

I do not think so. In the packet, or the student handbook, I read that all of the paperwork must be submitted sometimes late August.

You're right! haha I just went through the packet again. I have no idea where I got the whole "have to be done by orientation" thing. lol

Do you mind asking how many students they're taking this year? This long wait time is nerve-wracking. A lot has been admitted, and I am getting scared because of all the things we need to do before class starts. Thanks in advance!

They are accepting 130 in generic and 30 in accerlerated

I guess if they are willing to tell you, ask how many seats are still available? What GPA are they on now? Will there be rejection letters/emails sent out as well? When is the last date of acceptance? And whatever else anyone else wants to input.

Great questions, exactly what I want to know

I will just add, can we obtain an application status in person or on the phone? Like I would like to know if they already review mines and just have it sitting there because I didnt meet the requirements.

Other programs are asking for a deposit to hold a spot in the program.. and this waiting without knowing when is terrible!

Hey guys, so I got the answer to my questions ... they will not provide us with an application status, we just have to wait for the email.

I'm going to the department tomorrow!! I will post any relevant info they give me. Keep the faith. Everything will work out well in the end.

I stopped by today as well! She said that there are about 20 generic seats left and 0 accelerated. She said that they will be sending out rejections via email (not sure when) Also, thanks Dr82!! I'm trying so hard to stay positive

Wowow I applied for the accelerated program. I guess it is on to the next.

Wait no, there's hope! It's possible for someone to have recieved the accelerated program acceptance, but not accept it due to other circumstances. Also this was off the top of her head, so maybe she missed a couple!

It's also possible for them to have the people chosen, but maybe they haven't sent them all out yet?
