Hey guys! I'm applying for Jan 2017. I was taking "booster" courses in hopes of getting in with old admission requirements. But now that the 2 university transfer courses are eliminated, I'm really worried Do you guys think the competition will be more fierce with the new admission requirements? (2 eng, 2 bio, stats) Could someone please share what they're applying with? I don't have any A's and it's very likely I may need to look towards a new career path. Honestly, I think the reason they got rid of the 2 transfer courses is because before people could get in with C+ in biology and stats with the help of A+ in booster courses. Now it's more about having good marks in all the courses that are relevant to the nursing program.
Hi everyone! Now that the application deadline has passed, just wondering if anyone would be willing to share what GPA they applied with & if anyone has any information on when offers will be sent out? It's definitely a curiousity what with the new pre-requisites for this intake. I've also read from old posts that it took at least a month for the initial offers to go out last intake. Thank you & good luck to you all! :)
Does anyone know the recent GPA cutoffs for entry to Langara's BSN? I have a GPA of 3.3 currently and very worried as some people have been saying 3.6 is the safe zone. I have 3 more prerequisites to finish English part two, Human A & P part two and Statistics. I was wondering if I should take all 3? Right now I'm enrolled in English and Statistics in the fall. I haven't enrolled in Human A & P yet because I was considering the workload of having to do research papers, essays, and lab reports closely together in time. Has anyone taken all 3 at the same time? What do you guys think? Let me know your thoughts.
