People who get offers don't necessarily accept them. I got in a previous intake off the waitlist

I hear that Winter/January intake is less competitive than Fall/September intake

I got into Langara BSN for Jan 2015 intake, but I was on the waitlist two/three months after initial acceptance offers were sent out. So if anyone is on the waitlist, there are people that drop out.

I calculated my GPA incorrectly. It's actually 4.05 from 6 courses: 2 biology, 1 english, 1 statistics, and 2 random ones. I calculated two biology courses because Langara requires both A&P courses if you did the A&P at another post secondary institution.

I was on the waitlist because I submitted my transcript at least a month after people got accepted, but I got accepted after a month on the waitlist with a 3.89

I believe colleges that offer a BSCN degree will have lower admission requirements compared to universities.

I did "Academic Foundations in Nursing Studies" at Douglas but since then, they have changed that program to "Academic Foundations" because of the overwhelming demand for biology courses needed for nursing. There is a long waitlist for biology courses at Douglas, but I'm pretty sure there's a waitlist at Langara too. I believe Langara's program is only five courses before you can apply to Langara, whereas Douglas's program is ten courses before you can apply to Douglas. Douglas requires pathophysiology and microbiology courses, which are not in Langara's five course program. In my opinion, both foundations programs are pretty similar. It depends on which school you want to do your nursing. Douglas nursing admission is by date that you complete the foundations program; Langara nursing admission is by GPA only. Hope this helps.

The fit testing was $35. You get a card with your name and type of mask, and you get to keep the mask you tested.
