LAC+USC interview new grad RN

Hey guys, I have a question. I had an interview with LAC+USC and received a letter that I passed the oral exam. I read in the letter that they are going to contact me if positions open up. I am a new grad RN. Have you been in my situation? How long does it take until they call you? Do we have another interview after the oral interview or this is it? Please share your experience with me..thank you

I just got the phone call! Someone declined their position so I get to start on March 1st! See you there! :)

Oh wow! Congrats Nurse_Jaydee! I'm so happy you finally got a start date!!! I understand how dreadful the wait can be...I am still waiting to get my physicals done. Can't believe it's almost been 2 months just to get these done. Please, you must share with us your experiences as a new grad and their "training" program. Best of luck to you! :)

Thank you E_star07! I can't believe you are still waiting... Ugh! I hope you get the phone call soon so that you'll be closer to your start date. I'll let you know about my experience, I hope it will be a good one... Hehe. I'm still somewhat of a new grad. I've worked as an RN in Med/Surg for 9 months and as an LVN in Med/Surg for 2 years but I have never worked in Peds before! Definitely gonna be a new and exciting experience. :)

WOW! this is a long thread. :D but I was able to read all of the comments. I just had my civil service exam at LAC + USC and I was wondering if you guys know someone who failed the first interview? Because during my interview, I got really nervous because it was my first time, but I think it's not so bad I just can't express what's on my mind. LOL but my interviewer is really nice and told me to relax and loosen up and I ended up getting candies from her candy jar. Which is really hilarious everytime I think of it I crack up. Oh well, maybe that's the reason why you can never forget your first time. LOL Anyway, I am really nervous of my results.

Seriously!? I just talked to nurse recruitment, and they said the results of the initial interview take 6-8 weeks!! Anybody else's take this long? I'm going to be 5 weeks tomorrow.....eye eye eye!

When applying for a specific position, do you have to send in a copy of the letter/results from the initial interview along with the resume, letter of interest, time cards, etc??

where are you guys applying for the LAC-USC hospital? I'm on their website and I don't see any link to apply to their new grad program. Can someone please post a link? Thanks so much

I didn't apply for new grad program. I just apply where it said RN I. Then they will mail you a letter for an interview.
