Hi guys.

I was recently offered a job at Lac Usc in their neuro icu and was wondering if anyone is currently working in their icus? I was wondering how is it working for lac Usc county and your experiences? So sorry to ask, I interviewed with them 2.5 months ago but they barely called me a week ago offering me a job. But i had already accepted another full time job at another hospital 2 months ago and am currently training there thinking lac Usc didn't want me . im conflicted because I've always wanted to work for county and in icu but not sure if I should quit my current job for lac Usc. Any advice would be much appreciated :) thank you!

Hi eedo_rn I seen this post from 2012 and was wondering if you now have more of an understanding of what relief Nurses do at county. I currently got offered a relief nurse position and was wondering how that works and how has it worked out for you. My understanding is that those position eventually go fulltime.

Hi katy0810,

Have you started working for county? If you have, can you tell me how it is going? Did you ever find out if your position will eventually go full time? ☺

Hi I'm just wondering if you're still at SICU and how it's going? I interviewed this week. Thanks in advance!

Hi there everyone, I just passed my NCLEX in March and applied the same day I got my my license number. Im still waiting for the very first step after filling out the application online. This is going to be a long process! Just trying to see if anyone else is in the same boat as me?

Hi Noctor Durse! Congratulations on passing the NCLEX! I was a new grad 7+ years ago so I’m not sure how my name got tagged to your question. I do know that getting into LA County takes a miracle and Time. But I’ve heard good things about working there. Definitely compare it to the UC hospitals (UC Irvine, UCLA, etc) Good luck!
