Hi! This will be my first time applying...
My stats are:
C in microbiology
Rest are A
PPA experience, BLS certified, worked at QMC for 13 years at an outpatient clinic as a patient service rep.
TEAS 79.7
What are you guys stats like?

Pre-reqs: 5 C's (Technically 3 C's as the CC I took the courses in are graded w/ labs included), 3 A's, 2 B's
Co-reqs: Human: A; Pharm: IP
TEAS: 81.3%
B.A. in Public Health Policy, Minor in Med Anthro, Certification of Cultural Competence from UC Irvine (I do not know if this is considered)
Work exp: 2 years as a MA and Scribe at a private medical clinic; 4+ years of outreach in underserved communities w/ focus on HIV/AIDS pts; hospital internships in OB/GYN, neuro and ED. However, I only have one LoR submitted from my current NP. I attached my most recent resume, but am unsure if this will be considered.
If anyone knows whether or not the supplemental information I've provided is considered, please let me know.
If I do not get accepted I will be applying for their nurse aide program. It is a little discouraging looking at all the applicant stats from this year and the previous. I just thought it would be good to share my stats in case others w/ less than the average 3.6 GPA have applied.
Good luck to us all.
Don't be discouraged!! You have a good teas score so maybe if you just retake those C's you can really increase your chances. Unfortunately, they don't take other degrees and letters of recommendation into consideration but it's good that you have the work experience because that's considered. One option you can look into is UH's graduate entry nursing program. Not sure how competitive it is but I'd think it's way less competitive than these traditional tracks. Good luck to you!

I think they actually do take letters of recommendation into consideration. I also think it's good that hooyagetitin has these years of outreach and hospital internship experience.
According to item 7 on the ADN application:
"Health-Related Work Experience or Training: Additional consideration will be given for those applicants completing health-related work experience or training prior to application. The letter of reference should document the applicant’s direct patient care experience in a health-related field as evidenced by completion of a training program, work experience or physician verification of care giving experience. Official academic transcripts or a copy of certification should be submitted to document the applicant’s completion of a training program."
I agree in that the C's might hold the person down but the experiences this person has may help make up for it. Best thing to do is ask though because I could be wrong.
So happy to have found this thread! This will be my second time applying, I was waitlisted last semester and never received a call... so I'm hoping for a better outcome this time!
My stats are:
Prereqs: all As
Coreqs: one A and one C (pharm 203 was hell)
Experience: CNA certification and work experience
TEAS: 83.3%
I have also applied to HPU for the Fall semester as a backup plan if I don't get into KCC's program again. I have heard so many mixed things about HPU's program and it's so much more expensive! I am so anxious to hear back from KCC!
Hi there!! This is my third time applying. I was waitlisted twice with a TEAS of 82.7%
Pre-req: All A’s and one B for lab
Co-reqs: all A’s
Exp: Currently a nurse aid, CNA training program, BLS certified
TEAS: 84%
I called and they said they were possibly going to send out letters end of this month ?
She also said there were only 80 applicants. AND if you check KCC class availability for class NUR 210 looks like there are 18 openings. I wonder how many LPN To ADN student they will be taking.

WOW! thanks for the input! Calling is such a good idea I have never thought of that LOL. I hope they send out letters soon, I feel like the wait is driving me crazy. I am shocked there were so little applicants... maybe more people are fed up with the chances being so slim at KCC and moved on.
