Hi! This will be my first time applying...

My stats are:

C in microbiology

Rest are A

PPA experience, BLS certified, worked at QMC for 13 years at an outpatient clinic as a patient service rep.

TEAS 79.7

What are you guys stats like?

I hope so too! And good for you keeping at it. My ego was definitely shot after I didn't get in last semester, I had so much hope being on that waitlist too! Can I ask you why Chaminade is your backup and not HPU? I don't know much about the Chaminade program and there's not a lot of info on their website... would our classes rollover from the UH system?

Hi guys, so I just called the KCC nursing advising office and they’ll be out of office next week. I asked to see if there were any changes because of COVID19 and they said we might hear something in April.

She also mentioned bcus everything is online for the current nursing students, everything might get pushed back. So the current students might have to go into Summer to get clinical hours or if not Summer then I’m assuming fall.

SOOO WHAT I'm THINKING is if the current students don’t get their clinical hours, they won’t be taking nursing students this fall. This is bcus the current nursing students need to repeat for clinical hours. This also depends on instructor available. These are my thoughts, she didn’t say that exactly, but thats what I’m assuming because KCC is already short on instructors.

It just seemed like everything is up in the air.

I really hope everything works out. Stay safe and stay home if you can everyone! if anyone else can call and get more info, that would be great!

I’m so used to my ego being shot, I’m immune to it already. LOL. I only chose Chaminade bcus I went to HPU ten years ago and didn’t take school seriously at the time. My GPA is messed up there.

Thank you so much for following up! I just called also to see if I could get any other information, they said pretty much the same thing to me. The woman I talked to made it seem like everything was a mess right now, and that they are trying their best to get their current class to finish their clinical in the Summer, but that def. won't happen if the virus spreads more in Hawaii. I hope you are staying safe inside. I just got temporarily laid off my restaurant job so I'm just hanging at home and hoping for good news soon. STAY SAFE!

I know that Chaminade is a 4 year program regardless of the prerequisites you have already taken outside of their school. Most people double major because you HAVE to be in school for 4 years.

Due to covid19, they are still deciding if they will be having a program for fall 2020 since the current students may have to use that time to complete the program. They will make a decision and let us know by May
