  1. Interviewed 6/7 and got the offer e-mail 6/21
  2. I had no experience as well and still got selected for a spot. I didn't end up taking it because my CA license was not going to be ready in time. They seemed really nice though! I'm actually thinking of applying for an OR position with them. I believe there was a 3 year commitment which starts after periop101 (OR training which is about 6 months.) I don't remember what they asked though! Sorry!
  3. I had a panel interview a couple of years ago. It wasn't bad at all. They did most of the talking by introducing their role. They know you're a new grad and don't have much experience. You'll do great! If I remember correctly, you may be required to float to peds occasionally. Good luck!

Hi all, I have a question for the OR nurses. I am currently at a level 2 trauma center with over 15 operating rooms and am looking to relocate to another state. I was offered a position at a non-trauma hospital with 4 ORs. For those of you who made the switch to a hospital with lower acuity patients, do you regret it? I have only been an OR nurse for 2 years and still have a lot to learn. I want to feel confident and competent with patient care in the OR wherever I go.
  5. Thanks for the info!
  6. I noticed that you are from the ED. Do you guys take new grads or train current nurses who are interested in ED?
  7. Yes, I have applied and already have a date scheduled. I wasn’t able to apply to sit directly for California because of the Microbiology lab requirement. My state did not require micro lab for nursing school and I am currently taking the class and will actually complete it next week. ?
  8. Yes, they do seem very understanding. Unfortunately, I am an out of state resident which means even after the NCLEX, I’ll still have to endorse my license which I’m sure will take months. Good luck on your nursing journey with Loma Linda!
  9. For anyone interested, it took 3 weeks.
  10. I’ve received my offer via e-mail just this past Wednesday with a text to inform me of the e-mail. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be able to start since I won’t be able to sit for my NCLEX until after the deadline.
  11. Hi everyone, Out of curiosity, how long did it take for you to receive your ATT for the NCLEX exam from the time of your application submission to OSBN?
  12. Just $6 an hour on standby. Then 1.5x base pay if you actually have to report to work.
  13. Just as an FYI, standby pay for on-call is $6. ?
  14. I’m not sure about the others, but I was really only asked why do I want to work for the OR.
