I just graduated from the program 3 days ago and after speaking with the professors, the program is getting more competitive. Since you got all A's except micro, your GPA should be fine. And I got in with only an 81.3% on my TEAS. You should be good ?

Hey all, don't know if this will reach you in time but I just graduated from the program 3 days ago and am willing to sell all of my textbooks. If you didn't know, there is a textbook bundle that the KCC bookstore will attempt to sell you but it's honestly overpriced. I am selling my textbooks (no e-books) for a great deal cheaper than the bookstore price. I got a job in Washington so I'll be moving sometime in February and I don't know when ya'll get confirmation of getting in the program but PM if you have any questions. Hopefully someone can score books for cheap before I move. Good luck to you all applicants!

Hey! this will be my first time applying also. My stats are...

Prereqs: all As

Coreqs: all As

Experience: CNA certification but no work experience

TEAS: 90.7%

Best of luck to everyone applying! There's one little kink that might affect my eligibility /: but I'm hoping to sort it out by the time applications are due

Was the TEAS score lowered or is it still 78%

Thank you!! The minimum score for TEAS is still 78% according to the application

Good luck everyone!! Putting my application in the mail today. Hopefully it gets there in time!!

Hi all,

This is the only forum posting I see regarding KCC's ADN program for Fall 2020. I did have the intention of submitting an application but after taking my TEAS, I am feeling so discouraged but I wanted to share my stats and see what some of your honest thoughts are. Do any of you think it is even worth submitting an application?

Prereqs: 5 A's, 5 B's

Coreqs: Humanities: A

TEAS: 76.7%

Experience: CNA with over a year of experience

TEAS minimum is 78% for KCC ADN program

According to the application minimum is 78. Thought the 65 was a trial that was going to be ran

Specializes in Nursing.

My prereq GPA is very poor in comparison.

Pre-reqs: 5 C's (Technically 3 C's as the CC I took the courses in are graded w/ labs included), 3 A's, 2 B's

Co-reqs: Human: A; Pharm: IP

TEAS: 81.3%

B.A. in Public Health Policy, Minor in Med Anthro, Certification of Cultural Competence from UC Irvine (I do not know if this is considered)

Work exp: 2 years as a MA and Scribe at a private medical clinic; 4+ years of outreach in underserved communities w/ focus on HIV/AIDS pts; hospital internships in OB/GYN, neuro and ED. However, I only have one LoR submitted from my current NP. I attached my most recent resume, but am unsure if this will be considered.

If anyone knows whether or not the supplemental information I've provided is considered, please let me know.

If I do not get accepted I will be applying for their nurse aide program. It is a little discouraging looking at all the applicant stats from this year and the previous. I just thought it would be good to share my stats in case others w/ less than the average 3.6 GPA have applied.

Good luck to us all.
