Has anyone taken the Kaplan-RN review course?? What are your thought? Did you pass?

I am happy for you... Congratulations.

hi katie i took the RN complete the one for $418 i think they said its for the US grad students but they let you attend that coz i have classmates who enrolled for internatiol and paid $600 something and we all end up attending the same class only they have longer access to online stuff, but the cool thing is that they allow you to attend the live class again as long as your account is still active, just incase you feel like you needed to.

I took Kaplan by itself the first time I took the nclex and failed. I felt as if they want you to read into the questions too much so I did just that on the exam. The second time, I did Kaplan along with NCLEX 4000. The latter came highly recommended by friends who used them and came out of the exam KNOWING that they passed.

I tried it and passed on my second try. NCLEX 4000 is great because their questions are very straight forward without being easy. You LEARN the material and their rationales are straight to the point. I would not however, recommend you to use it by itself without Kaplan. They way Kaplan words their questions is very similar to how the NCLEX would ask u questions. The difference is that the nclex choices are clear cut while Kaplan is more tricky.

Do both and I really think you can pass the first time.

The online practice questions that they give you online helped me the most. I took Kaplan twice. The first time I failed, but I only studied the book and didn't really do the online Q's. The second time I did the onlin Q's and passed. They helped me a lot. The book is also very good to study from, however there are more in-depth books that you can get. If you are trying to save money, just buy the kaplan online q-bank. It gives you the kaplan book and the online questions, but not the class with the strategy. The strategy they teach works, but it cannot be used on the majority of the questions. The strategy is also explained in the kaplan book.

hi bummer thanks for that information, you help me decide what I need to get.. I really appreciate your reply.. I will enroll tomorrow.

Hi bummer I got question with that LIVE CLASS , how can you get access with that is that part of Complete online program in Kaplan. Thanks

hi those of you who took kaplan and used the q bank and passed nclex:

i have been taking the qbank tests and have been getting 55 averages. one test i will get 47% and then the next 61 or 64%. getting worried that even though i look at the rationales and why i got them wrong, that it won't help me come nclex day. i have been listening to the online lectures and hope to listen to them twice before i take the test.

Do you guys think that kaplan prepared you enough for pharmacology questions?

im testing this friday on the 15th  so i took my kaplan and i finished the entire qbank and averaged around 50-70% on them. Did like 150-200 questions a day for 3 weeks. in the q trainers i managed to get around 55-65% except for 7 bc i havent did it yet. I guess my question is to the people who took the kaplan course... do you think im ready? or what do i still need to do in these last 4 days to prepare?

You can enroll in the kaplan q-bank only to get the questions. This allows you to create your own tests. You pick what you want to be tested over, and how many q's you want. I think the complete online program gives you the q-bank as well as the question trainers witch is 7 or 8 exams set up to take along with different sections of the book. They get harder in intensity and number of questions as you go.

thanks for that information, I heard its really good I took mine the first time and I failed after 265 questions. I thought I am doing good after having a 75-84 percent in Saunders practice exam. Well the NCLEX question is way too different, I will try again probably early August because there is a 91 days waiting here.. Thanks again

I used SAUNDERS and NCLEX 4000, I have high score in the practice exam around 75-84% in SAUNDERS and 69-81% in NCLEX 4000. I took the test and failed. The question is so different so now I m enrolling for KAPLAN online review. I am not saying its not good but its so different from the NCLEX question.. I regret not reading the LaCharity Prio and Delegation. To be sure read and understand LaCharity Priority and Delegation. This will help a lot

heyyyy i am planning to take KAPLAN..to prepare for my RN exam..but i am soo confused..coz some ppl says its good and some says its just wastage of moneyy...can you plz help me....any advice...
