  1. same boat as OP. SoCal is bad right now.. i thought after literally going through hell to pass Nursing School and the NCLEX it would be easy to find a job, but nooo. I thought hospitals would be lining up to throw jobs at me, but noo. its really irritating and infuriating.
  2. i was on the same boat! I took my my qtrainer 7 a week before the exam and i got 66%. By that time i had already maxed out my qbank. The day before the test i just kept taking mini qbank 10pt quizes to build up my self esteem hehe long story short i learned i passed today w/ 75 questions in woohooo good luck to you!
  3. Okay im convinced that the PV trick actually works!! I woke up early this morning to check the BRN website update and i was surprised to see my name was in it.... w/ the RN right next to it!!! Heres my breakdown of studying 4wks prior to the test, so hopefully it could help someone in a similar situation relieve some anxiety as well. The only review class i took was kaplan. The only book i used was the kaplan book and my iggy book (from nursing school.) I broke down the kaplan book into systems and added extra notes to each subject. I answered 150-200 Qbank questions a day. By the time my kaplan courses ended i did 1 qtrainer a week till' the test. my qbank scores ranged from 50-75% until i finished my qbank then my scores went from 75-100% (give or take d/t i already saw many of the same questions). For Qtrainer 5 i got a 64%. Qtrainer6=56%. Qtrainer7 i saved until a week before my final week and got 66%. My actual nclex i took 75 questions w/ no math question, only a little of peds/ob, a lot of prioritization, 10-15 SATA's, and a lot of meds/teaching. Overall the situation was overwhelmingly stressful, but also very rewarding! Thank you to everybody for the support! :redbeathe
  4. i took my NCLEX-RN on the 15th of this month in CA and when i tried the PV trick it wouldn't allow me to reregister for another test. Hopefully the trick is true, but by reading everybody's responses it seems true and the trick helped relieved some of the overwhelming anxiety ive had for the past couple of days.
  5. ^omg really?? its kind of ridiculous how long the wait is just to get a "COMPUTERIZED TEST" scored....
  6. does anybody know how long it takes for the BRN California website to post your name on the website after you take your test... assuming you pass???
  7. ^congrats ! boo to California for not having quick resultsss
  8. i took mine in CA too, but on the 15th im hoping my name shows up online on the next update. i also got a blocked message from pearson, sooo hopefully tomorrow is a good day! today was already a good day w/ the lakers winning and all hehe
  9. ^ i hope you are right ive been constantly checking the BRN website to see if my name pops up.... even though i know they only update once a day haha
  10. okay i took my NCLEX-RN in california on may 15 (friday) and i tried the trick just a couple of minutes ago and i got: "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." is that a good sign???? and can anybody shed light what exactly is percentage rate of people who pass if this does go through? this waiting is killing meeee
  11. ^ me toooo im nervousss. it seems like you and I had a similar test.. hopefully we hear good news in a couple days!
  12. took mine today too and i also didnt see that many ob or peds questions, which sucks bc ob and peds are the ones i was studying hard on :stone. i took 75 questions a lot of prioritization and 10-15 sata's. i ended w/ a prioritization, so im hoping thats a good sign?? i guess ill know by monday or tuesday..
  13. took mine today. i got 75 questions no calculations and 10-15 sata im scared hopefully its a good sign. i felt my last question was a good higher level priority question, but i just dont know till' the results arrive. :imbar
  14. im testing this friday on the 15th so i took my kaplan and i finished the entire qbank and averaged around 50-70% on them. Did like 150-200 questions a day for 3 weeks. in the q trainers i managed to get around 55-65% except for 7 bc i havent did it yet. I guess my question is to the people who took the kaplan course... do you think im ready? or what do i still need to do in these last 4 days to prepare?
  15. anyone have a good pneumonic for when to put heat or cold on a pt?
