i haven't signed up for kaplan (yet) plan to take NCLEX in june
it's pretty expensive, so i was thinking i'd just do saunders, Kaplan book, saunders Q&A, and NCLEX 3500
can someone explain the benefit of signing up for Kaplan vs. studying from their book without the course?
have you heard of anyone passing the NCLEX that DID NOT take kaplan?
just wondering if i am shooting myself in the foot by not signing up for kaplan (i haven't heard of anyone failing the nclex who took kaplan)
thanks

Took nclex-rn may 17th, passed with 75 questions. I only used rn 3500, saunder's 2008 edition, and prentice hall nursing comprehensive review for nclex-rn reviews and rationales. I couldn't afford kaplan course. Good books and several different questions on the same subject.

I used the International Program of Kaplan Course. And it helped me alot. I used the strategies they thought us in taking the test. And it worked pretty well. But I didn't rely in just one reviewer, I also used saunders, learning extension and lippincott. And it all works...

Most of the comments about Kaplan on this site have been positive. Think it would be a good investment if one can afford it. Otherwise, pay adequate attention to the other available resources and you can prepare well enough to pass. Good luck.

Hi , I am also a foreign nurse grad. from the Phils. do you think we should really get the International Program for Kaplan or the Kaplan online is fine. I was thinking of the $200 dollars difference, but I desperately want to pass NCLEX. thanks

i am taking the online one and i think that it is similar to the one for the foreign graduates, it comes with the book too, i feel like kaplan makes me think so much more, you know like an athelete...its like good training, good exercise for the big olympic game
Thanks for the help, I am going to register for the course I failed the first time I took the test 265 questions, I feel so bad coz I study so hard 8-10hrs/ 6weeks and getting 75-85 percent in Saunders and 68-79 percent in NCLEX 4000..

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Passed at 75, found that the questions were very similar to the ones on the NCLEX.
hi is there a big difference in the international course does the seminars help you a lot, I am planning to enroll but 200 dollars is a big difference for international course I am not sure if its worth it compare to the U.S. graduates complete online course. Thanks
