Kaplan NCLEX-RN review course

Has anyone taken the Kaplan-RN review course?? What are your thought? Did you pass?

Thanks for the help, I am going to register for the course I failed the first time I took the test 265 questions, I feel so bad coz I study so hard 8-10hrs/ 6weeks and getting 75-85 percent in Saunders and 68-79 percent in NCLEX 4000..

Many on this site have had success with the Saunder's book. I have not. Saunder's is a wonderful companion to nursing school, but I found that is was just too much info to get through for the NCLEX. Also, I think the Saunder's questions are not comparable to the NCLEX. Saunder's questions are incredibly watered down and simplified. I was scoring no lower than 70% and even 100% in some sections and I still failed the NCLEX. sad.png Suffice it to say, I have signed up for Kaplan. nurse.png

I took the NCLEX last Mat 19 and I didn't pass. I feel I was so dumb coz did not pay attention in getting the right review materials. I need suggestions about the best review materials. Thanks a lot!

Yeah Saunders is good but not the best material for NCLEX . By the way did you already retake the exam. Thanks

I enrolled in Kaplan I just started but I really heard a lot of good reviews about it. I tried a lot of review books Saunders, Lippincott, Nclex4000, Mosby and a whole lot more but still I failed . I think Kaplan online is really good they said its the blueprint of NCLEX the questions are similar to NCLEX questions.

so i am wondering those of you who used kaplan online, did it help you to pass the nclex? I am preparing for my nclex-pn and am considering the kaplan online course, so who passed and recommends kaplan or a different study option? thank you for responding:loveya:

Specializes in Telemetry, EKG interpretation, ICU/CCU.

kaplan online Qbank was excellent for practicing strategies and understanding rationale. i took all of the practice tests and passed the first time.

Hi, I took the Complete Online Course in Kaplan and I passed the second time with 75 questions. Kaplan really help me and I am thankful I got it, most of the question are in the application and analysis level that will help you pass NCLEX.

thank you for responding, the kaplan nclex RN sounds very helpful, I will use that when I get my RN. I am considering the Kaplan nclex PN/LVN review.

The question bank was great for getting better acquainted with questions you can expect to be similar to the exam. The answer tree helps on those questions that might stump you. It can be useful to some people, but not everyone. The biggest asset is the additional practice questions. I noticed a small handful were very similar to ones I have seen, but not identical.

Immediately the following variables come to mind:

- The learner's amount of self-discipline (can you complete Saunders first in about 10 days- push yourself to build this stamina before paying for a course!)

- Previous success with self-directed learning (online courses, etc.)

- Study environment at home, access to local quiet study spots (libraries etc)

- Other commitments (family, work, etc.)

For me Kaplan Online seems like the perfect choice. I am not going to waste time commuting to a crowded class and take the chance of having a bad instructor.

I have been successful at many many online courses, am disciplined in my studies, and plan to pass with 75. But still I will complete Saunders and maybe the kaplan book INDEPENDENTLY before I take the course. The course will just be there to hone my speed and skills and as insurance that I will pass.

Hi,

i am soon to be a graduate of a nursing program and was wondering which one is the right one to take for the Online Kaplan NCLEX review. What is the difference between the Classroom Anywhere and the "On Demand" package. Also wanted to know if anyone thought the Online courses were helpful or the inperson course was better. Thanks for your help!

BTW, Are there any coupons out there for the Kaplan online course? thanks!

I did the Kaplan Online Complete (with Qbank). I liked studying at my own pace.

Kaplan was well worth it! Great investment!

I got mine at a discount because of a online promotion on the Kaplan website.

I passed the NCLEX-RN on my first attempt!

Good luck! You can do it!
