  1. Hi there! Can anyone please give me an explanation to this: I got my Bachelor's degree in nursing from the Philippines. I came to California and passed the NCLEX-RN. Am I considered a BSN instead of just an RN? I heard that I still have to have my bachelor's degree credited here in the US before I can qualify as a BSN. If so, what are the steps to do that? Thank you guys! Hope to hear from you soon! xoxo
  2. I used to live near St. Agnes. Try Jackson Park Place, it's like 5 minutes away from the hospital.
  3. Hi pinayhomegirl! Do you have an idea when they usually post new grad positions? I am Pinay too!
  4. Yeah I saw that just yesterday, I applied too, but I need to enroll in Maternal and Newborn Nursing care course which is like $620, so I don't know. Well for sure I will let you know how it goes! Thank you!
  5. Hello NurseLeslie! It's gonna be in the Labor & Delivery unit. How was it? Thank you!
  6. Hi there! I just wanna know if anyone here had an interview with UCSD Medical Center, can you please share your experience, what were the questions they asked you, something like that. I would really appreciate it. I have an upcoming interview and I just want to be prepared. Thanks guys!!!
  7. Yes, that's true, we should give them a call. But did anyone called the number yet?
  8. Hi Faeriewand! Where is this flyer from?
  9. I feel for you, I know where you're coming from because I had the same experience. I got turned down by two hospitals; Sharp & UCSD. But what can we do? I heard that they got so many applicants for a few positions, so that's really something. Where did you applied anyways?
  10. I haven't heard anything from them yet =(
  11. Hi there! Anybody knows what's the difference between externship, preceptorship and internship? Thank you!
  12. That's really a good deed. I actually looked for almost every hospital here in SoCal. I applied at UCLA, UCSD, Tri-City and Sharp. Still waiting for now. I hope I get in. Where did you apply?
  13. I applied on the very first day. Their server was down for like half an hour or less on the first day, maybe because of the big volume of new grads applying. I am not sure if my portfolio is complete either because I haven't received any email from them yet.
  14. I guess you are pertaining to the Supplemental form that you have to fill out when applying at a hospital, if not pertaining to additional documents that you have to submit. A Supplemental form is filled out after you submitted an online application. It is necessary, questions like "what are your long term career goals, describe your community involvement, why do you think we should hire you", some personal questions like that. They will send you a link to the Supplemental form, you don't have to submit that as a cover letter.
  15. Thank you very much for the information.
