My girlfriend's roommate got a call for an interview, she thinks she was a panel interview. Anyone else get called? This is for the Kaiser in the SF Valley area.
I went to the interview and it was pretty brutal. After a few hours they call out a bunch of names and if yours wasn't mentioned you are asked to leave. I felt like I was getting kicked off the island on a Survivor episode. Embarrassed to say but I had my lunch alone with tears. Thought it would be good to have the immediate feedback and not have to sit and wait and wonder for 3-4 weeks while a decision is reached but the public rejection is actually so much worse. I am beyond discouraged!
sorry to hear that.. i too was there. although my name was called out, the 2nd interview was even more brutal. i felt like a little kid being asked if i stole something.....I went to the interview and it was pretty brutal. I was there too and I echo the sentiments above. Group interviewing is actually more nerve wrecking than I imagined! Kaiser would be a great place to work but there are many other great organizations that probably exude a more positive interviewing experience that may reflect the program you want to be in.

i try to always learn from these things but i think it hurt my confidence far more than any benefits could outnumber. Out of curiosity, what was the second interview like? Maybe I can learn through your experience
How many questions, how long, how scary? Was it behavioral, scenario, clinical kind of questions?
But good luck to you!!

Missdia, were you asked to stay for the second interview? What were you thoughts.
That was my first panel and group interview....i think i would rather have a colonoscopy.
I wonder if panel interviews that aren't group style are that bad. I just felt like if I could just have some alone time with the unit managers...
