Kaiser New Grad 2012

My girlfriend's roommate got a call for an interview, she thinks she was a panel interview. Anyone else get called? This is for the Kaiser in the SF Valley area.

Do all of you who are receiving this email have prior nursing experience?

I have no local experience but i have experience overseas.. i hope they have room for us all.. seems there are so few of us..

Hi! What unit did you choose? Are you from SF valley? It did say they're looking for a year's experience but they're all considering new grads..

Can i just ask.. Regarding the info sessions.. they just wanted to meet you? and show you around?

I chose peds, and, yes, I live locally. The recruiter said they're arranging the meetings so they can put a face to the names... they'll be scheduling interviews during which we'll meet hiring managers, DAs, educators, etc. :( I didn't get a tour... is that a bad sign?

I hope they have plenty of openings! I tried to get a number, but all I got was they had many applicants. Fortunately, all the mentioned areas - peds, medsurg, women's, and perinatal - are taking new grads. Let's pray that everything works out!

yours is the good sign im following through:) they did ask you to meet with them:) i just submitted my answer last friday. I hope the rest of us will be lucky enough to be called for an info series.

supposedly....i have a friend who works in Kaiser and she did not even get the info session email. i have not gotten it either....:confused: but i am not a kaiser employee.

I'm really confused as far as how the procedure goes now... my friend who had gotten hired at PanCity said that they do mostly internal hires/transfers... but if that was the case then your friend should've gotten priority. Did she apply to the woodland hills one?

me too...yes she applied at woodland hills. maybe it's a different procedure when it comes to hiring internal employees:confused:

Kaiser San Diego is having a Summer 2012 New Grad program too! A friend of mine who works there told me to apply and I was called to have a phone interview with a Nurse Recruiter today. I'm guessing that the phone interview is to determine if I would fit in any of their units??

Kaiser Woodland Hills is having group interviews next week and should know by the end of next week if youre accepted since the Program starts first week of July.

I was told this, but I didn't get the exact details about the interview. I just called HR right now and the office said an email will be sent tomorrow for the selected candidates. :( Is this the same for others? I'm feeling discouraged now...
