Just took NCLEX....

Published

Your patient is a 35 year old woman who just took the NCLEX exam. She presents with nausea and vomiting, high blood pressure and tachycardia. She states "I thought I prepared for that stinkin' test-and now I have to wait 7-10 days for any news!" An appropriate nursing diagnosis would be:

Select all that apply:

1.Risk for injury r/t the urge to fling herself off of a bridge.

2. Risk for dehydration r/t vomiting and diarrhea

3. Anxiety r/t BEING MADE TO WAIT 7 TO 10 DAYS!!!!!

4. Ineffective Coping as manifested by weeping, wringing of hands and the desire to go into hiding.

5. Disturbed energy field(still can't tell what exactly that is but it sounded appropriate)

The correct answer is 1,2,3,4, and 5. I had 75 questions and can't tell you how I did. My state is one of two that does not let you find out via Pearson Vue if you passed or not, so I will be a wreck for a while. I am glad it is over-just hope I don't have to do this again.:uhoh3:

I just found out about an hour ago that I passed!!!:balloons: :jester: :balloons: One of the other test takers said that Pearson Vue changed it and allows RI candidates to use the quick results. The lady at the center didn't want us to know that for some reason-she said she was told to tell us it still doesn't work. I tried it anyway, and that guy was right! Don't know how I pulled it off but I passed! That test was unreal, it was so hard....Look, I changed my user name!

LOL. That is a funny post. I have been reading this site for two months and from the many differents posts from testers who have passed they mostly get 75 questions, no math, prioritization, infection, and they come back a few posts later saying that they have passed.

Guess what--- You will too.

Love your post! With your nursing process skills like that, I'd bet you passed! I've read a number of posts what the computer cut off at 75/80/85 and the results were CONGRATULATIONS. Hang in there and keep allnurses advised.

August 22nd :chair: Lord I am just praying that I don't get a lot of Peds & OB!!! I am trying to re-study this stuff....I just do not like it. Two people in my class have already taken it....both passed, I am the next one :uhoh3:

I definitely know how you feel...OB and peds were my weakest topics too. Thankfully I only got 1 OB and 1 ped question out of the entire test. The rest was med/surg. I'm sure you'll be fine :)

i'd say whatever interventions you used were pretty effective ;)
