Your patient is a 35 year old woman who just took the NCLEX exam. She presents with nausea and vomiting, high blood pressure and tachycardia. She states "I thought I prepared for that stinkin' test-and now I have to wait 7-10 days for any news!" An appropriate nursing diagnosis would be:
Select all that apply:
1.Risk for injury r/t the urge to fling herself off of a bridge.
2. Risk for dehydration r/t vomiting and diarrhea
3. Anxiety r/t BEING MADE TO WAIT 7 TO 10 DAYS!!!!!
4. Ineffective Coping as manifested by weeping, wringing of hands and the desire to go into hiding.
5. Disturbed energy field(still can't tell what exactly that is but it sounded appropriate)
The correct answer is 1,2,3,4, and 5. I had 75 questions and can't tell you how I did. My state is one of two that does not let you find out via Pearson Vue if you passed or not, so I will be a wreck for a while. I am glad it is over-just hope I don't have to do this again.
