Just passed at 130 (max due to covid) Pearson Vue Trick didn’t work.

Hey everyone, I want to share my story because some of you may be in the same situation. I took the NCLEX with the new COVID rules: 60 questions min, 130 max. After 60 questions, the test kept going. It went all the way to 130 questions. When I got home, I received the email from Pearson, waited an hour, and tried the Pearson Vue Trick. I got the bad pop up message in which the site allowed me to register for another exam. I tried the trick several hours later and got the bad pop up again. I was devastated. Two days later, I got the Quick Results and found out that I had actually passed. Apparently, there is a gray area for the Pearson Vue Trick: if you take the exam and make it all the way to the end, the trick may not be accurate. It wasn’t accurate for me. If you’re in the same situation, keep your head up. All is not lost.

Also, my state board did not post my license number before my quick results were available. I understand it’s cheaper, quicker, and more accurate to check your license status on the state board, but this is why I did not do so.

Good luck everyone!

I took my NCLEX-RN exam  yesterday also did 130 questions left with 9 minutes in the exam. I try PVT like 10 times got the bad pop ... I’m here feeling defeated..I got 35 SATA, 4 math questions, 1 imagine questions that I can hardly make out... 2 place order, 10 medication question which I’m suck at.  Etc.... I’m still holding the faith the worst part is if I failed I just have to wait 45 days to retake it. But CONGRATS to everyone that passed..... and everyone that is waiting for their results I know the feeling of being depressed or shutting yourself away from everyone.

I wish you the best of luck. Don't worry. Keep trying until you make it. It's a blessing to be able to retake because you will know things even better.

I waited 45 days to retake mine. It SUCKED. But I studied my *** off and here I am now working as an RN. Use it as fuel for the fire.

I know.... I was surprised that I received my ATT number already. Well the biggest mistake is I study for two week and think I was going to pass the NCLEX how ridiculous I’m .... or should I say crazy!! LOL.... but this time 45 days is more than enough to get myself ready and focus.....

I took mine this morning and got max questions. Also I got the bad pop up still pretty sad about it. I'm pretty sure I failed it. ?? Time to restudy

Hi Cduong3392, you don’t know if you fail or pass  as yet until you get the result, the PVT made work for others but maybe different for you... don’t beat yourself too much over it... what the worst can happen if you failed, you register all over again, wait on your report card to see your weak areas on work on it....  and I can tell you this next time you will definitely pass..... I failed the NCLEX too... I know my weak area was pharmacology but I did not put in a lot of time in it, so I take two weeks to prepared for big exam silly me.... when I got my report card I got below standards grade  pharmacology because most of questions pointed to it, surprising to be infection control and safety was a shock to me..... in some areas I got above grading passing standards, and near passing standards. Using the report card to study or brush up really helps .... doing 200-300 questions a day does not make sense if you don’t understand it...

doing questions make sure you understand what the questions asking and the rationale..... I’m not going to lie when I was preparing for the NCLEX I have to read a book before I go to bed because I love romance book.... I spend more time reading  more than prepare for an exam..... LOL.... sometimes I would call myself crazy.... I only study for 4hrs a day.... and even right now I still do it, but the difference is I can I do understand my medication, I do understand infection control and safety my two week areas, plus I still read my romance novel.... to keep me laughing..... so don’t beat yourself .

you Got THIS!!!

Hi guys. Just got validation last night and my ATT to re test again from failing the first time. I got on to schedule and the only day available or the rest of the month was TODAY. SO, I made the move and was ballsy and just got out of it. My test shut off at 60. I haven’t done the trick yet, just praying I passed this time! Prayers please!!

I believe you passed!!????

I just did the PVT and got the bad pop up so I’m VERY discouraged right now. I’m a mess.

Don’t feel discourage......just please wait until you get the result.... I don’t believe in the PVT.... I wish they discard it.....

I just saw someone post that on facebook who got the good pop up and got max questions.

This was my second time taking the NCLEX. The first time I had max 130 questions and failed. My CPR showed I nearly passed in every single area. Took it again yesterday and it shut off at 60 which gave me hope, but received the bad pop up and my BON website still says PL. at this point I assume I failed again. I just want to give up. I don’t know why it’s so hard for me to pass this exam. I have studied my heart out.

I'm sorry to hear that. I just found out today that I failed. I will have to wait to test again.
