Hey everyone, I want to share my story because some of you may be in the same situation. I took the NCLEX with the new COVID rules: 60 questions min, 130 max. After 60 questions, the test kept going. It went all the way to 130 questions. When I got home, I received the email from Pearson, waited an hour, and tried the Pearson Vue Trick. I got the bad pop up message in which the site allowed me to register for another exam. I tried the trick several hours later and got the bad pop up again. I was devastated. Two days later, I got the Quick Results and found out that I had actually passed. Apparently, there is a gray area for the Pearson Vue Trick: if you take the exam and make it all the way to the end, the trick may not be accurate. It wasn’t accurate for me. If you’re in the same situation, keep your head up. All is not lost.
Also, my state board did not post my license number before my quick results were available. I understand it’s cheaper, quicker, and more accurate to check your license status on the state board, but this is why I did not do so.
Good luck everyone!
When I failed the exam I was sad and depressed and didn’t want to eat, I lay in bed thinking I’m damn crazy, how I expected to passed if I only study two weeks and read romance novel. My spouse came home that night and said straight in my face, I know you were not ready, but I still let you sit the exam and he removed the sheet from over my face and said stop it. Your problem is not comprehending you get through nursing school and finish only this one test left.... then he said, anyway my friend told me his wife took NCLEX seven times before she passed it.... no one cares how many times you take the NCLEX when A you apply for a job, some of the best nurses are the ones that failed numerous times.... so sad and depressed....don’t beat yourself too much....
How do you know if it lets you register? What does the “bad popup” say? It’s been almost half a day since I took my NCLEX so I’m freaking out because the max isn’t 130 anymore and I did like 140+ questions (with 30 case studies) and I didn’t feel like using the pearson vue trick because I didn’t want to face reality ? I panicked throughout the exam and I almost hyperventilated... my temp license is still on though...
Bad pop up: payment declined (PVT trick is when you put the wrong expiration) it tries to charge you but since you put in the wrong one it cannot. (Meaning you failed)
good pop up is when it says our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time.
good/bad: is when it says your results are on hold.

Hi, I’m in the same boat as you so you’re not alone. Both times I took it I did all 130 questions. I was feeling way more confident after the second time but I got the bad pop up and it turned out that I did in fact fail again. I’m taking a little break because I’ve been so discourage so I know what you’re feeling right now, but we can’t let this get in our way too much. We got through nursing school, we can get through this exam. I don’t believe it’s lack of knowledge I believe it’s more test anxiety than anything. You got this next time :)
