Hey everyone, I want to share my story because some of you may be in the same situation. I took the NCLEX with the new COVID rules: 60 questions min, 130 max. After 60 questions, the test kept going. It went all the way to 130 questions. When I got home, I received the email from Pearson, waited an hour, and tried the Pearson Vue Trick. I got the bad pop up message in which the site allowed me to register for another exam. I tried the trick several hours later and got the bad pop up again. I was devastated. Two days later, I got the Quick Results and found out that I had actually passed. Apparently, there is a gray area for the Pearson Vue Trick: if you take the exam and make it all the way to the end, the trick may not be accurate. It wasn’t accurate for me. If you’re in the same situation, keep your head up. All is not lost.

Also, my state board did not post my license number before my quick results were available. I understand it’s cheaper, quicker, and more accurate to check your license status on the state board, but this is why I did not do so.

Good luck everyone!

Thank you! and if you don't mind me asking, what does your status say? Will it say delinquent or active? Because I've seen others from my cohort that says "delinquent" under their status even though they barely got their permit a month earlier.

I took my test on 10/31/2020. Had 75 questions then it shut off followed by survey. I got an email saying now that I am done with the exams I can wait but can check if I have questions, just trying to paraphrase the email.

I decide to do the PVT 3 hours after I got home. I followed the instructions here and used a wrong CVC but got a pop saying my credit card is declined. Just that I got a notification from my credit card that my account has been charged $200 four times.

Now I don’t know if I passed or not and either know if I will get my $800 back. Been all alone this weekend(Mentally & Emotional) Hope my experience sharing will bring light to someone.

I would advise you to call Pearson Vue about the charge.. $800 is not something to over look. Kwesi

Found out that I failed for the third time. I’m so done with everything. This is honestly the most discouraging thing I’ve ever gone through. It’s been six months since graduation and feels like I’ve been stuck in the same spot with zero change. Maybe this isn’t the career path for me. I’m heartbroken.

Sadanddepressed, you don’t know me and I don’t know you, but you can’t have that mind set.. yes you failed the third time, but that does not mean you won’t passed. I know people who took the exam seven damn times before they pass it and no one never ask them  an interview how many times they sit the NCLEX... maybe you are doing something wrong when studying, maybe you misunderstood what the questions asking you... maybe you are  nervous in the exam you over look what the questions really asking you.
Are you  willing to give up so easy... you make it through nursing school! Why stop now... if you keep doubting yourself that is the result you going to get. A good nurse don’t give up on her dream don’t matter all the obstacles in her ways... just go again... see what you doing wrong... you have 45 days to prepare again.... go through your content areas and see what you are missing, used your report that they send you... my quote is success is the key for a better life!
but sometimes you have to failed to be successful... that is part of life.

I agree with Mjohnson27 above! Don't give up now! There are people out there in your shoes who have failed the NCLEX many times and passed in the end. My advice to you is find out what you need to improve on according to your CPR and what needs to change like figure out what material you're going to use to practice and what didn't work for you. The whole 3 months I've been studying using the Saunders NCLEX book online that was provided to us from my school that gives different content topics to focus on with questions in multiple choice or SATs. I always make sure to read the rationales it gives me even if I get them correct and whenever I don't understand something, I search it up online and take note of it. What I'm doing may not work for you, so it's better to ask around. Good luck and again, don't give up! The hardest thing you've finished was nursing school itself.

Don’t give up now. I’ve failed three times as well. I’m taking it for the 4th time on Monday morning. My anxiety level is through the roof right now....

Nessa292, I will have you in my prayer and I believe with hard work there is success at the end.... I know anxiety is something we can’t control, but during the exam please try to be calm and take deep breathing and most importantly take your break and used cold water to wash your face. I wish you all the best and I believe YOU GOT THIS!!!

Thank you! I need all the prayers I can get at this point.... I don’t think I can afford to keep paying the fees to keep taking the test. I bought UWorld and have been studying that on the app... I hope I don’t get disappointing news come Wednesday when the results are out. Wish me luck guys!

I don’t know if this will be helpful.... but

Just remember keep points acute vs chronic.... acute first!!
delegation and prioritization...... what is a UAP and a LPN role...

which patient can be in a room with which patient... A patient who is high risk stay in a room w/ a patient who not high risk. That same nurse can not take care of other client....

when a nurse float from another unit to other unit she can only attend to stable client, it does not matter how many experience he/she has.
another thing to keep in mind what every you get below grading standards that’s what NCLEX test you on mostly.... and if they found other weak area they will also test you on it.....
I believe you are well prepared this time.UWorld is good and the rationale very helpful...

That’s very helpful thank you very much

question does Pearson vue keep track of the previous tests? Like do they keep testing you on what you got wrong?
