Hey everyone, I want to share my story because some of you may be in the same situation. I took the NCLEX with the new COVID rules: 60 questions min, 130 max. After 60 questions, the test kept going. It went all the way to 130 questions. When I got home, I received the email from Pearson, waited an hour, and tried the Pearson Vue Trick. I got the bad pop up message in which the site allowed me to register for another exam. I tried the trick several hours later and got the bad pop up again. I was devastated. Two days later, I got the Quick Results and found out that I had actually passed. Apparently, there is a gray area for the Pearson Vue Trick: if you take the exam and make it all the way to the end, the trick may not be accurate. It wasn’t accurate for me. If you’re in the same situation, keep your head up. All is not lost.
Also, my state board did not post my license number before my quick results were available. I understand it’s cheaper, quicker, and more accurate to check your license status on the state board, but this is why I did not do so.
Good luck everyone!

I just don’t see myself paying $400 again and most likely losing my position at work if I fail the exam. I’m basically on the edge of giving up. Seems like so much is going on around me and I cannot catch a break.
And I too went through this emotional rollercoaster. I’ll pray you pass hun
I am in the same boat as you! Finished in 130 Questions on July 18th and got the payment declined msg when doing PVT. Waiting for my quick results so it can put me out of my misery of being in the unknown!

Did you try a visa gift card and then like a debit card? I tried every way possible. Putting it in correctly and then putting an incorrect security code or expiration date and still kept getting the declined pop up page. I’m so nervous. I have been reading every forum possible trying to find out if the PVT is accurate and trying to find any hope that I may have passed that exam. Update me with your results! I will as well. I’m sure they will be what I’m expecting. What state are you in?? I’m in KY.
I only used a Credit card. I tried it with different exp same cvc and tried it with diff exp and diff cvc.. I’ll keep you updated. I’m in NY.

I’m praying for us. I keep going each hour to see if they’ve been posted yet. I’m such a nervous wreck especially after not getting the good pop up. I can’t afford to do this all over again ?
You’ll get it next time. Just don’t give up! My results should be in around 3pm central. I’m just not stressing about it anymore. If I pass I pass and if I fail I fail.. all I know is that if I failed and I reached 130 that means I was close.. And the next time I’ll def get it!
I’m just heartbroken honestly. I basically lost my job position since provisional license is voided after failing. So they’re telling me I have to step down and be a CNA until I pass and I’m just honestly humiliated.

Would you care to send me the study guide you were talking about? I just found out I failed so I want to take every measure I can to pass.

I can imagine how you’re feeling, but don’t let this bring you down. So many great nurses now have failed their first time, it really doesn’t mean you’re not capable or anything it’s just a really stressful, difficult exam.. and you made it to the end meaning you were borderline. Take this experience so it pushes you harder for the next time, in 45 days you will be an RN. Best of luck to you!

I am that girl that got to 130 and failed, studied and passed after 45 days, on second attempt. So it’s possible don’t beat yourself up.
