Just passed at 130 (max due to covid) Pearson Vue Trick didn’t work.

Hey everyone, I want to share my story because some of you may be in the same situation. I took the NCLEX with the new COVID rules: 60 questions min, 130 max. After 60 questions, the test kept going. It went all the way to 130 questions. When I got home, I received the email from Pearson, waited an hour, and tried the Pearson Vue Trick. I got the bad pop up message in which the site allowed me to register for another exam. I tried the trick several hours later and got the bad pop up again. I was devastated. Two days later, I got the Quick Results and found out that I had actually passed. Apparently, there is a gray area for the Pearson Vue Trick: if you take the exam and make it all the way to the end, the trick may not be accurate. It wasn’t accurate for me. If you’re in the same situation, keep your head up. All is not lost.

Also, my state board did not post my license number before my quick results were available. I understand it’s cheaper, quicker, and more accurate to check your license status on the state board, but this is why I did not do so.

Good luck everyone!

Update:

So sorry, you can try again, it’s a really vague and tricky exam. Don’t beat yourself up. Just try again. It’s going to take you a day or two to get back into studying, you will pass!! Listen if I can pass you can too believe me!! What were you using ?

I was using NCLEX mastery and Pocket prep book apps.... I just reapplied and waiting for my ATT to schedule due to dates being out until I believe Oct ☹️ On all the practice tests I’d taken I was scoring an average 60-69 I thought that would be enough but I was near passing for 2 Categories And above on the rest

I’m so sorry! It’s a horrible feeling but I hope it drives you to push harder. I’m studying for RN and currently studying UWorld.

I looked that one up which package did you get? From what I remember they have like 3 different prices

I’m not sure about those apps! But I wish you the best of luck. Don’t beat yourself up. The next time you will crush it.

thank you ?

Hi I was wondering if what kind of questions you got for the whole 130. I don’t remember getting a lot of SATA. 1 drag and drop. Few exhibit. Lots of pharm questions, and health teaching. Also no math this time. I felt like my exam went easier on the last part. Like priority questions. I’m too scared to do PVT. It’s my 3rd time taking it. Both PVT was accurate for me so this I’m not doing it.

I had the same too.. lot of teaching in pharm. but I felt I mess up because the end my question got easier. Like picture of how to inject heparin. ?those were like I think easy questions. I think I didn’t pass :’( I can get my quick result right now but I’m thinking Not too.. IDK what to do

Hi! Not sure if anyone is still reading or following this but I took my NCLEX at 630 this morning and it took me around 2 1/2 hours to complete. I took the max amount of questions which is 130 and felt horrible the entire time I was answering each question. My heart would face faster the more questions I kept receiving. All of my friends got cut off at 60 questions and got the good pop up. I waited for the email and tried the PVT and got the “your card was declined” message which is apparently the bad pop up. Just really praying to God that I’m one of the people in the grey area that end up passing. I’m so nervous and have been crying ever since I left the testing center.

It’s OK love I promise, if you fail you’ll pass it next time. Trust me I know you feel defeated but the worst part is over you already finished nursing school. Take a deep breath and relax. There’s a big chance you failed if you were declined a payment but some people end up passing because they grade your exam twice. Chin up.
