OK, once in a while I'll get this "just 'gotta' buy something" feeling for nursing school....whenever it may be that I get in.
Here's my latest expenditure.
I paid about $30 for it.... I don't know if that's a bargain or not, but I liked it. lol Although it seems like I paid about $20 or $30 for my inexpensive stethoscopes (no bp cuff) about 10 or so years ago.
I figure I can practice on B/P's since I haven't taken one in several years (except a couple of times in A&P 2 this past summer.)
I also figure I will want a backup stethoscope, just in case my Littman gets stolen, broken, or lost. (No, I haven't bought my Littman yet.)
So, what have you purchased already, before you find (found) out that you were accepted?
This was a cute fabric but they dont have it online:![]()

I stopped by my local Hancock....they didn't have it but thought one of the other stores might....she said that they could take an order and if it's in the warehouse they could ship it to their store and I could pick up and then mail to you....let me know if you're interested in more info or more checking around?
okay, need some advice.
Accepted Students Day is Friday. You have the option of buying everything you need at the Bookstore (uniforms and nametags and shoes and equipment... **homer drool**)
If I buy it now, it's 20-25% off of everything I buy.
However, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to afford to go to Hopkins. Don't have a cosigner or income requirements for a private loan.
Should I buy while I'm there and take the leap of faith that He wouldn't be that cruel to take it away when I just got the second chance (and that as usual, I'm stressing out too much). Or should I play it cautious and cough up the extra money after I secure my financial aid?
Ohhhh, such the dilemma!

are you planning to go somewhere else even if you don't go to Hopkins? If so, you could just buy the equipment there while it's on sale because you'll always need it, and maybe shoes. those are pretty generic probably. Then again, there's always the leap of faith and with prayer, you never know...
This forum is a great resource!! Is it possible to work full-time AND complete Nursing I, etc. classes and clinicals? I have two pre-reqs left, but as I am looking at the Nursing schedule, I am getting worried. I have to work full-time at this point. Do most students work at night? I have three little ones, so I hope I can find an answer and make it work!! Thanks everyone!
IF YOU JUST HAVE TO WEAR WHITE......http://www.lifeuniform.com/lifeuniform/assets/html/0602_56.asp
Check out the "Sweetheart Top" I saw on the last page of my Life Uniform catalog I got in the mail today.
Click on the shirt to go to the actual page in which has a link to see a larger image.
Very Cute!
Scrubs have come a long way!

I remember when I was a pre-nursing student. My "gotta buy something" whim was the scrubs. I don't know why!!! :)
