OK, once in a while I'll get this "just 'gotta' buy something" feeling for nursing school....whenever it may be that I get in.
Here's my latest expenditure.
I paid about $30 for it.... I don't know if that's a bargain or not, but I liked it. lol Although it seems like I paid about $20 or $30 for my inexpensive stethoscopes (no bp cuff) about 10 or so years ago.
I figure I can practice on B/P's since I haven't taken one in several years (except a couple of times in A&P 2 this past summer.)
I also figure I will want a backup stethoscope, just in case my Littman gets stolen, broken, or lost. (No, I haven't bought my Littman yet.)
So, what have you purchased already, before you find (found) out that you were accepted?

I only did a brief online search for scrubs fabric; you might try other searches.
I know I've also seen some at Hancock and JoAnn's fabric stores; possibly even WalMart? It's just a matter of finding the type of print you want.
Good luck!
AWESOME! Thanks!:thankya:
I agree....just pick out what you like! :)
What a cute idea.

Ah, jeepers.....since you appreciated that, here's an interesting thread I found while goofing off some more!!
That reminded me that I was also going to suggest you try a quilting store if there's any in your area. We have one locally that must have 5000 bolts of fabric in their store. I had to drop my sewing machine off to be worked on last week and put the blinders on going in and had my husband pick it up. I bet you'd find tons of stuff in those stores, too, as it's basically the same type of fabric as that thread above mentions! For scrubs I'd personally probably want something with some poly in it for washability's sake, but for a tote, 100% cotton would be fine.
Have FUN!
Thanks! It took me awhile, but I think I finally picked a fabric out that I liked.Denver fabrics had the best selection. Not real "nursey" looking, or at least what I had in mind when I first started looking, but I love the angel with the heart.
I thought that was darling, too....and it was one of my favorites on that site. The other site (wazoodle? or whatever) had some fabric with band aids and stuff, too.
I'm sure you'll love it; what a wonderful friend you have to offer to make you a special tote! How special to have her in your life!
This was a cute fabric but they dont have it online:

I'll be happy to run in to my local Hancock if you don't have one by you? I'll try to let you know tomorrow or Tuesday if you're really interested in it? No promises, because heaven knows how long it's been in the stores or if they'll have it locally....

Check out the "Sweetheart Top" I saw on the last page of my Life Uniform catalog I got in the mail today.
Click on the shirt to go to the actual page in which has a link to see a larger image.
