I precepted in an ER in B-ham and expressed my desire to work there when I graduate. On my last day the nurse manager came to me and said that I would indeed be hired and that they wanted to get me started orientating as soon as I graduate! I am so excited! I am going to be an ER nurse Good luck to all!!!

Well, don't forget that you will need to pass the NCLEX. You don't want what happened to Emilysmom to happen to you. She had a dream job and failed NCLEX. Now she has lost her job. So take the time to pass NCLEX and then go to your job.

Congratulations!! It seems as though you were "hand-picked" and they have been watching you during your clinicals. You will do great!! The nurse manager has talent and a "know how" to see which student is going to be a great nurse! I wish you the best and keep us posted!!
