  1. Uhhh yeah you need Micro. If you didn't why do you think you would be required to take it???
  2. One of our instructors went to a meeting about the new NCLEX and was told that all though these type questions will be on test, but that it was pilot study and would not count. So we are not worried about it.
  3. I am at Bevill State Community College in Jasper, AL btw- WAR EAGLE!!!!!
  4. Yeah nursing classes are hard. There is absolutely NO WAY you can memorize the material. It isn't the kind of stuff you memorize. anyway. Like PJMommy said, it is all about teaching you how to think like a nurse. About the only things that you can put to memorization are the equivalents and lab values. The rest is you just have to understand it and apply it to situations. Critical thinkng is the key. I have learned that nursing school is not for the faint of heart :) It really is hard to explain. It is one of those you have to be there kind of thing. You have to learn how to study in a whole new way. Good luck!
  5. I think you meant to say something like they think too much of themselves...or they have big egos...etc..not high self-esteem...everyone needs to have have high self-esteem...I am not saying that you should treat your fellow workers like garbage..but once you have attained your degree, you have every right to be proud of yourself. Nursing school is extremely hard and a great accomplishment for those that succeed. I have never heard of "Nursing syndrome" but working as a nurse's aid, I saw tons of "RN-itis" from the new grads. I agree with Tink RN, most gossip and neg comments are based on jealousy and only you can control your attitude.
  6. Not nurses....but I went to high school with a girl whose last name was Head and her father's name was Richard...yep he went by Dick Head. 100 % absolutely true.
