July 2009 NCLEX Support Group

I didn't see a July 09 support group thread up, so I thought I'd get it started.

I'm taking the NCLEX-RN July 3rd for the first (and hopefully only) time. I figured I'd get it done before the holiday weekend so I could at least enjoy some of the time off instead of spending the holiday chained to textbooks...as I've done for the last two years.

trust the Pearson trick...so worked...it worked for me!!1 I passed and i have 140 questions ( which made me think i did not pass) but I DID..RN, BSN..YAY!

Wanted to let everyone know I tested on July 8 and did the Pearson vue trick. Got the pop up and found out I passed! I start my job as an ICU RN on August 3. I am also part of the New Grad Residency program. Glory be to God! I couldnt have done it without Him.

I took mine the first time 5/4/09. I failed with 75 questions. I left there so anxious I walked a mile before getting in my car. I did not remember anything that I answered and FAIL.:angryfire. I just took the test again and got 75 questions!:angryfire . I had 13-17 SATA, 4-5 infection control. Alot of delegating and prioritizing. I am driving myself crazy. I should find out the results any day now. In Ohio it is a 24-48hours wait. I used a Prior, delegation book did Kaplan nclex review book, and Saunders review book 5 to 10 questions in each section. Any advice before I take again. Which I am hopeful I do not have to do. :cry:

hey! you passed this time!!! be confident and relax! find something do to take your mine off the test. i know the feeling when i failed the first time. I think you did all you can do is far as questions and reviews. do alot of questions and looking at the rationales and also going over the wrong one looking up in your text book helps. i am also using the priorization and delegation book right now. which is helping me as well. Just relax right now and do something fun. I am confident that you passed right now if thats not so its not over you can still take it again. have you tried the pearsonvue trick? people are saying it work. i take my test on august 5, i am going to be so ready and confident.

Jasminerain, I am also testing tomorrow at 12:15PM. When I found an afternoon test time I took it immediately. 8AM, I am not fully awake at all, even if I get 10 hours of sleep. Anyway, try to relax today, maybe go for a walk, watch a funny movie, etc. Good luck tomorrow, I will keep you in my prayers!

now im anxious...i think i failed my nclex...huhuhuh!

I know how you feel. I failed 4x already. Took NCLEX for the fifth time last week. I really hope I pass. Just dont give up!!!! Keep on trying. And keep on praying.
