Johns Hopkins Entry into Nursing (MSN) Spring 2021

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to start a thread for the Johns Hopkins entry into nursing MSN program for January 2021 applicants. I just started my application this week, aiming to get it in well before the July 1st deadline. Anyone else?? ?

Also, if anyone previously accepted here has any application tips, please do share. Thank you!

This late- not today so we can relax for tonight haha. But most likely will send out all the batches (hopefully) tomorrow! They did say to email admissions if you don't hear back by Friday

Congratulations to all that have been accepted in the first round thus far!

In our current pandemic world, finding housing is certainly an added challenge. Are any strategies from current/past participants valid? I wonder if many students seek housing as "pods" to alleviate exposure and have a guaranteed study group and carpool for clinicals.

Below is the email I received from Hopkins a minute ago:

 

"Thank you for your email. All applications have not yet been reviewed as all decisions will be released by the end of next week. I would not necessarily rule out JHU yet! Be sure to keep your eye on your email as we continue to release decisions. If you do not hear anything by the end of next week, reach back out and I will follow up to see when you should expect to hear your decision."

You're probably going to find people will do small groups and probably use some kind of video conferencing.  Some I assume they're doing masks/faceshields, especially when it comes to practicing techniques such as vitals.  Others are not worrying about it, so it's life as normal.

I find since I spend so much time in my apartment, I look forward to meeting anyone.  There is something to be said for in person social interaction

I was offered a spot on the waitlist yesterday so they sent some of those decisions out if that helps! ?

Do you mind sharing your stats? I was denied for the last round but I’ve since finished all the prereqs and I’m wondering if my stats are good enough to apply again by the October deadline or if I should just bag it haha

This is going to sound so weird but what time did you receive your email? I just need to know when I should expect the delivery (if it comes today)
