Johns Hopkins Entry MSN Spring 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I just completed my application for JHU Entry into MSN Nursing Spring 2020 application. I was waitlisted for Fall 2019 and was not accepted. Anyone else out there applying for a second time? Who has completed their application? Best of LUCK!

US News and World report lists all of the MSN programs acceptance rates. If you purchase a subscription you can get additional details about cohort statistics, application #, acceptance #, in state versus out of state and etc.

I just accepted a spot on the waitlist for spring 2020 ? not feeling too hopeful but we'll see

I was also waitlisted, but I rejected the spot because I already accepted an offer from UMSON for their MSN CNL program. Congrats and good luck to those still waiting!

I also accepted my spot on the waitlist yesterday. Ugh

I just called the admissions office to inquire about the waitlist and Sara told me we won't find out if we'll receive an admission offer until late November ?

Does anyone have an idea of how many students have been accepted off the waitlist in recent cohorts??

Can people share their stats.

I have a 2.5 GPA and all my prerequisite are B or above. But served for the peace corps. Travelled to Honduras and Nicaragua for medical trips. Certified phlebotomist and medical assistant for the past two years. Trying to figure out what are my chances of getting In.

I had a 3.6 cumulative GPA, and almost all A’s in their prerequisite requirements. Some experience in the medical field, but worked as an analytical chemist for a pharmaceutical company. I got accepted. I hear they really like Peace Corps people. But their minimum is a 3.0 so idk...

Is there anyone following this thread that applied for the priority deadline of October 1? I submitted everything two weeks ago and just got everything verified today. Called admissions and they said I should hear back by December sometime. Fingers crossed!

My stats: I have a 3.2 cumulative GPA with a graphic design background and all A's on prereqs. When I asked, the admissions counselor said that they focus more on your science-heavy courses with lab for your application.

How are the deadline July first different from October 1st? I thought October 1st was the priority deadline

@FutureRNnyc July 1st is the early admissions deadline. October 1st is the regular or "priority" deadline.

Wondering if its worth applying with my stats:

3.39 GPA undergrad in biology (ecology) top 50 lib arts school

Prereqs:

A&PI &II: A; Human Dev: A; Stats: B; Micro: B-; Nutrition: taking winter 2020

No current healthcare or relevant work experience. Since getting my BS I've taught, travelled and commercial fished. Did some research in undergrad and presented at a few conferences. Rec letters are mostly from undergrad (5 years ago).

Haven't taken the GRE.

Any advice on how to improve would be appreciated! Good luck to everyone applying now :)
