Johns Hopkins Accelerated Summer Entry for BSN/MSN 2014

Published

Hi everyone! As the early and regular decision deadlines for the Hopkins accelerated programs approach, I thought I would start a new thread for this year. It seems like it's been a pretty useful source of support for prior applicants during this grueling process :)

Congratulations, I'm so happy for you!

Any other calls?

I got the call ... I am in for both the ABSN and the MSN for MPHN/CNM!!!! Can't wait to hear about everyone else!

Still nothing for me unfortunately.

Congratulations!

Congrats to those accepted!! I haven't heard anything yet (fall-entry ABSN).

Do yall think they will make any calls tomorrow, or can we relax for the weekend?!

@jhuhopeful I was wondering the same thing! I think I saw on one of the past year's forums that somebody did get a call on a Saturday but the JHUSON website says their offices are open M-F.

So many congratulations to those who got their calls today!

I applied Summer Entry ED so maybe they are calling the Summer entry folks first? @se662341 did say that they have lots of calls to make so I imagine some people will be getting their calls either over the weekend or on Monday. From last year's thread it looked like a number of people were notified a couple of days after the first calls were made. Still crossing my fingers for everyone :)

Oh that makes me feel way better

Congrats to those who have heard back!! I know it is super frustrating to wait, the office is so busy this time of year trying to get out many decisions for multiple programs plus my cohort graduates on Friday 12/20 so they are busy planning and finalizing that as well. I can assure you from the many paper cuts I currently have we were stuffing envelopes like crazy people on Friday so we could get those in the mail ASAP. Someone asked earlier how big the BSN program was and the number that was posted was inaccurate. The Summer entry BSN is capped at 130 with the current class having 122. The Fall cohort is capped at 150-160 with my graduating cohort being 152 students. The TOTAL number of BSN students across every cohort is 453. Hope that helps!! Continue supporting each other, this is only the beginning of a long (but exciting) road you have ahead of you.
