Johns Hopkins Accelerated Summer Entry for BSN/MSN 2014

Hi everyone! As the early and regular decision deadlines for the Hopkins accelerated programs approach, I thought I would start a new thread for this year. It seems like it's been a pretty useful source of support for prior applicants during this grueling process :)

I have been wondering how many people apply on average/how many are accepted on average, but I have not been able to find those numbers.

My Friend's last day at Hopkins is today and her cohort is around 300 total I think. She did Fall ABSN

I bit the bullet and called. They said that they're sending out decisions today and through next week. It didn't sound like they're calling us individually like they have in the past

Since they've already made their decisions and are mailing them, maybe someone brave can call and ask if they can tell them their status?

Did they specifically say they were not calling this year?

Hey guys, I called yesterday and asked specifically if they would make any calls. She said no, they will only be mailing letters. I actually called today to see if they could share the status since the decision has probably already been made but I couldn't get through to anyone. I live right outside of Philly and my mail already came and there was no letter. Hopefully tomorrow!

Hey Everyone! So I'm waiting to hear back about the BSN/MSN program! When I had my interview, my interviewer said the decision would be made today and they would call / e-mail international people. So I have no idea! I just want to know lol. Oh well...good luck to everyone! :-D

Now I wish I were an international student haha. Ugh! I'm so frustrated/sad. I was so excited because I assumed we would be notified today.

Hi everyone!! I just called the School of Nursing Office of Admissions to hear it straight from the horse's mouth. They are doing both calls AND snail mail to notify of the admission decisions, but they are only calling students who are admitted to the school. Both students who are admitted and those who aren't will receive snail mail of the decision. She said they're starting calls today but they'll take a while because there are a lot to make, and they are not telling you if you were accepted or not if you call them. She said also the snail mail went out today.

I got a call, but to be fair I called about a week ago and told them I needed to know ASAP because I've been stringing along my backup school for a couple weeks now and I feel bad taking up someones place and scholarship. I'm in. They said they're having some printer issues but the letters are going out today and monday. I think they are making calls but I can't be sure, I made a special arrangement a little while ago. Best of luck to all of you, hope to see you in the summer. BTW somebody should set up a Facebook page when we know. Good luck!
