Johns Hopkins Accelerated Summer Entry for BSN/MSN 2014

Published

Hi everyone! As the early and regular decision deadlines for the Hopkins accelerated programs approach, I thought I would start a new thread for this year. It seems like it's been a pretty useful source of support for prior applicants during this grueling process :)

Wishing everyone luck this week that applied ED! :-)

Does everyone who applies for the ABSN/MSN program get interviewed? Or do they select certain applicants to interview who have 'made it to the next step' so to say? I have my interview this week, and I am confused about whether or not being asked to interview means we are closer to being accepted. Good luck to everyone who has applied!

did you apply for early decision?

did you apply for early decision?

Yes, I applied for early decision ABSN/MSN, for Family NP. Thanks in advance for your response!

@jhuhopeful not every BS/MSN applicant is interviewed. There are a few different outcomes when it comes to the BS/MSN program. You can either be accepted to both the BS and MSN portion. Admitted to the BS portion and denied/ wait-listed for MSN or denied from both. Usually interviews are good signs but with that being said there are still a variety of outcomes. Best of luck to you :)

Thank you for your answer! Best of luck to everyone, I am sure many people will be getting a great early gift for the holidays!

I had my interview today. They didn't ask any of the questions I thought they would. It was with 3 women, the MPHN coordinator, the MSN/CNM coordinator and the coordinator at Shenandoah University. They pretty much just wanted to make sure that the program was a fit with my goals because they want to make sure that their students are happy and have picked the program that will fit their goals best. She did confirm that some people get into the BSN but not the MSN, some both and some neither. She said I would find out "soon" since I applied ED. Don't know if that means Friday or later since they still have some interviews to complete for the MSN/CNM program. I heard that from the friend that applied for the FNP that we should find out on/by Friday. Fingers crossed!

Hey guys! Anyone on here applying ED ABSN w/ paid clinical res. with MSN in CNS? Just curious if anyone has gotten an interview for that because i haven't seen any talk of it on here

@cnp2012 I am also wondering if u can tell us if they are still in the process of contacting people for interviews?

They are still contacting people for interviews!

Hi tbp1015 - any updates for you? :-)

Not yet :) Time feels like it's creeping by! I'm trying to focus on prepping for my Penn interview on Monday, but it's definitely distracting knowing that the JHU admissions decision is so close!

I assume you're anxiously waiting too?
