Hi everyone! As the early and regular decision deadlines for the Hopkins accelerated programs approach, I thought I would start a new thread for this year. It seems like it's been a pretty useful source of support for prior applicants during this grueling process :)
I got my official letter today as well. I am tempted to start an unofficial facebook group for the Spring cohort but I am hesitant. Any thoughts? Think I should just do it so we can start to find/get to know each other? There are facebook groups for the previous cohorts but they are closed so I can't pick their brains with all my questions unless I request to join the group.
@ejohson I say go for it and start a group! We had some accepted students join our group last time around but just to be honest many students found it annoying since that is a place where we exchange info about exam prep, car pools etc. So your questions can get lost in the shuffle. In the past it has been easier for an incoming students to start a group and then the current students that want to can join and give advice etc. Also email the office of admissions, they would be more than happy to provide contact information for students that are willing to talk about their experience or PM me, I am always willing to answer questions.
PS Everyone else the office of admissions will be closed most of the day with the counselors and support staff out of the office for my cohorts graduation! Just so you all aren't trying to call and wondering why nobody is there.

Thank you so much for that! I'm really glad you called and asked. There is still hope for now! Good luck and hope to see your acceptance post soon!
