Specializes in NICU.

You can't have a nursing job without an RN. A BSN is a plus when applying for jobs, but you need to have an RN.

Specializes in peds.

She's 100% correct.

Specializes in Med/Surg, Ortho, ASC.

No jobs for BSN without RN.

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Unlicensed assistive personnel/caregiver, unit clerk, housekeeping, transport

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

You can secure any position that does not require an RN license. These include sitter, patient care assistant, direct care worker at a personal care group home, dietary aide, transporter, and so forth.

Yeah, no patient care positions but maybe look at EMR companies? They probably don't require an active license but appreciate medical/nursing backgrounds. I had one classmate who went from nursing school to teaching hospitals about EMR software. She never worked as a nurse.

Specializes in SICU, trauma, neuro.

Non-nursing

Medical assistant in a doctor's office

Get your qualifications transcribed professionally. You may possibly have the required amount of hours and coursework to apply to sit for the NCLEX. Explore different BON's because of different criteria. You can also explore CLEP if you need certain requirements. I went to the UK and did their RN equivalents because it was cheaper and their qualifications acceptable internationally without additional requirements, except for America. I came back here and took the NCLEX without any review etc and found it quite easy. Maybe the Indian coursework prepared you as well. Alternatively, the English NMC might allow you to take their exam which allows you to take ours and you will have a qualification that allows you to nurse from Canada to New Zealand and in between, including all European countries I think. Good luck.
