Welcome.... This is a thread created for January 2014 Broward College students and others who are interested in there ADN program. We all have so many questions and concerns about the program.
We are 7-8 months away from sitting in the first class of the January 2014 nursing program. What have you been doing to prepare for this? What pre-req's do you have left to take? What inspired you to become a nurse? Is BC your first school of chose? Are there any other programs your interested in?
Don't be shy. Don't lurk. Share your thoughts.
Good Morning I'm a ball of emotion right now. Lol I'm going to central campus this morning to turn in my application. Thank The Lord I've come this far. I feel good!!! I've been through so much these past couple of years & now that everything is coming into a full circle. I'm so happy.
About my new life & new journeys.
By the way I had my titers done in Dec. of last year do I need to get them redone? I work at Broward Health, and it is required to do them. I have to redo PPD & get a flu, & tetorifice shot which is not a problem. I know I'm not accepted (just yet) but I like to be "on point". Lol does anyone know if I have to redo them again?
P.S. yes ladies & gents you have to get a flu shot. I saw a previous thread were someone did not want the flu, & the poster made a big deal out of it. Nevertheless if you want to be in Nursing program you need to have one.

When your Dr fills out your paper work he can write that you had it done last year. plus any titer will show up in your blood work. :)

Guys I turned in my application this morning. By noon it said I was pre admission. By 1:30 I was selected to be in the program. Oh my gosh I'm so excited. The lady in admissions told me I will hear something by the end of the week, but I didn't expect today. I am so happy right now!!! I have my email that says come to to orientation Oct 17 at 9:00 am. It's a go for me. YES!!!!!!!
